I have had a bet on all of the play off games in each division and fancied us to win 2-1 today but chose not to back us so as not to jinx us. So I am claiming a share of the credit for todays win. You are all very welcome.

Will there be an open top bus parade?

Behave! We're not Small Heath!

Two stand out moments from a tense but fulfilling afternoon for me.

SJM’s dummy in the centre circle in the build up to the first goal and Emperor Mings disarming Huddleston after the fracas at the start of the second half.

It feels fucking wonderful to be back, for the first time in almost 10 years the mighty Aston Villa are on the way back.

Best season as a villa fan so far for me. Jack/Dean, watching us actually go for it again, 10 game run, my little girl’s first games and glory at Wembley.

Mings' tackle that led to his injury was an outstanding moment also.

I don't think they score if he doesn't injure himself there. Very unfortunate for the big man. He was immense again today. I'll be genuinely gutted if he's not starting next season in a Villa shirt. Don't for the love of god, anyone tell Bournemouth what they're missing!

Got to say, Connor has come on a lot in the last 6 months. He's always had a lot of quality and produced 'the sexy stats' but I've noticed him getting more aggressive, a bit meaner and just tougher of late and it's making him a better player. It's meaning he's impacting games more, outside of hitting belters or his assists rate. I think he'll do well in the Prem. He'll be an important player for us and he compliments McGinn and Jack well too.
