The Luke one from last year already sounds like it’s become a bit of a collectors item. Wish I’d got one of either home or away shirts.

Blimey, might have to consider selling mine, might start a bidding war 👍

Did you agree to a release clause upon purchase of the shirt ?

😂

I don’t really like the home one- looks usual cheap tat. Black away is not really an option for me in the unforgiving QLD sun. The cream one could work if they could shoehorn a bit of claret and blue into it.
Why does it look cheap tat?  I know last seasons was poor quality, but there's nothing in the photos released that makes this look poor quality.  Quite the oppisite it looks very good.  It may well fall apart, but I just wondered why you thought it looked tat?

I get Kappa isn’t the greatest but some will never be happy unless it has Puma or Nike or Adidas on it. It’s a kit. The colours are correct and the design is very traditionally Aston Villa. This years kit looks just fine And the away looks very decent in the images we’ve seen so far. The away kit has creative licence. It won’t be for everyone and it’s not meant to be.

I just hope we aren't wearing the third kit when Jack lifts the FA Cup at Wembley in May.

£90 for the “pro” shirt? Taking the piss

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 'pro' shirt and the normal one?

The pro version is made of stretchy, clingy material that's really tight fitting.  The 'stadium' version is looser like a normal footy top.

New shirt ordered for the wee man. Erred on the side of caution and put McGinn on the back instead. £39.

Colours and tradition are the important bits every new season. This delivers on that.

Thanks, mate. That makes sense. So the pro version is basically the one the first team play in.

I guess so.  I bought the pro version of the 3rd kit in the sale.  I'd say the overall quality of the material of the shirt is better, but the numbering and lettering still started to peel off after a couple of washes.

The pro version has to be more durable. It’s athletes chasing athletes. The other version is for fat blokes chasing pies

Looser - but still slim fit, right? Or do they do "normal human fit" also?

Yes the non-pro Kappa kits are still very snug, and according to lots of people, at least a size smaller than they are used to.

It actually says that in the size guide they sent out with the launch email this year. And the pro version appears to come up about two sizes out.

I love that. It would be a fantastic advertising slogan to have above the kits in the club shop.
