The massive 'W' looks hideous on the sponsor.

Sponsors ruin most shirts these days. Some shitty, never heard of gambling company with a logo that looks like someone’s GCSE design and technology coursework. No thanks.

Club seriously missing a trick not selling versions minus the sponsor. I’d pay £5 more for an option without

Why would they sponsor our kit if we did that?

I believe West Ham do it.

They do - they offer the option to have the sponsor's logo on or not

Pretty sure it’s so they get their brand shown across premier league, sky, worn by players etc. Don’t think having Barry from Shirley wearing their logo is exactly why they part with their sponsorship money

Oh, I think I know! 👍

Is it, because Aston Villa are back I the Premier League and their games will be shown to millions on TV all over the world every week?

The revenue lost, from a few thousand middle age men, and women, walking around Asda without a sponsor on their shirt, should be minimal, I would think.

But they also pay money for it to be on the replica kit. It's still advertising their company if Barry from Shirley is wearing it.

The kappa badge all down the shorts is very admiral 1980 - not a good look.  Not sure why people are against a light blue away strip.  At least it's one of our main colours.  I've always liked them because of the 57 FA Cup top and the fact I started following Villa around the mid 60s when our away strip was light blue (Sir Brian Godfrey at Southampton in the FA Cup).  Both shirts look ok to me.

Never had an issue with light blue, the Stanley Victor one of 1997/98 when he was unveiled in it and we were going to win the league, is still a fave of mine. Think we wore it a couple of times on our European odyssey that season (Bordeaux and Bilbao?).I wish I had bought it that year. Looked lush with the light blue shorts and white socks.

Even the more turquoise/black efforts (98/99 LDV Vans and 2009/10 Acorn) were quite lovely, perhaps time for their once a decade return.

I know I said it during the World Cup but the Mexico away kit is a thing of beauty.

https://www.adidas.com/us/mexico-away-jersey/BQ4689.html

Looks better in the flesh. Imagine that for Villa with the green replaced by light blue.

Done it already in 1930/31  :)

Anyone know how much we got for the Kappa deal? Can’t seem to find even a guesstimate on the inter web.

I remember when Mexico used to wear a kit made by Levi Strauss. There must be a photo of it somewhere on the internet

Here it is - fantastic!
