Bizarrest thing from that day is years later I saw a photo of me outside the club, well the back of me, on Facebook, being given a 'friendly' word from a copper as I hadn't taken kindly to something a Manc had said to my sister. The bizarre part being it was taken by someone I went to school with and hadn't seen since leaving school over 30 years earlier.

who’d have thought there would have been any trouble with Danny b’s crew in there !

Gordon Cowans was in there as well

I got a ticket (through the company a friend used to work for) in Club Wembley Gold seats for the Liverpool semi final.

It was basically middle level, bang on the halfway line.

You pay whatever (insane) amount for a year subscription (no idea what the minimum year commitment is) and you get your seat for every event at Wembley. I was sat next to a couple who had bought them on a whim a few years ago purely because they liked going to important sporting events, and the FA Cup semi finals were part of the package.

It was a great seat, great location and what not, but the amounts of money involved will doubtless be insane.

I think it's about £3K a year to join Club Wembley, on a minimum three year contract.  All that does is give you the right to buy tickets for events.

The lad I went to school with was on a banning order. I reckon we were some of the few in there that weren't on them!

If we win, do I push for the child to be's middle name to be Victoria?  (i.e. Victory, Verity would also work as my name means truth, but sounds a bit posh. Planned first name begins with A) ;)

Don't be daft.  It should be Tyrone obviously.  Or Dean.

Female V name suggestions greatfully accepted, though if we win I don’t see how’s Victoria can be bettered. Interestingly if we ever get there, bearing in mind I’m a Taylor, she a recent (begrudging) convert, thinks Ian Taylor has a nice ring to it!

Any wheel chair users in need? Not sure if it gets a plus one or not, I’m guessing so.

Somehow, when I couldn’t get 3 together and it became clear they were disappearing I started scraping round the blocks to get any. Then randomly, they released a chunk of premium pitchside ones and got 3 in a row. Seems strange how I’ve ended up with better seats than most in pure luck at the very last minute but won’t complain as we did get screwed over by the exclusion of the play off game as a qualifying match this year. Anyway,Off to Wembley. We do also have a spare return virgin train ticket from Lichfield TV - 9am out and 8pm back if anyone’s interested? Face Value of course. Electronic as well so can send beforehand.

Hadn’t thought of that one.
Rodders pointed out Kinks ref with Victoria, so Kinks Vs Costello..

Visited the shore of Lake Victoria very early on when met the Mrs, so mileage in being named after that, as well as the (hopeful) result of a footy match.
