Can't get the link on the Villa Support Twitter page to work. Is it available to ALL season ticket holders tonight? Or are we divided into blocks/number of aways attended/that sort of thing?

Are we at Wembley again? I can't cope with all this stress. Wish I was a Sandwell Town supporter. They have had no such trouble in last ...last-well I can't even think that far back. ;D

I'm happy they've put in the 5+ game criteria ahead of 3+ games, for all the fickle lot who only started turning up towards the end of this season ;)

I know there will be loads of requests, but if anybody who can't make it and has a booking reference I can use (maybe 5 or 3 games +) I'd be really grateful. I'm fine for my own ticket but would like to get my brother a ticket for his 50th. He lives in London and doesn't get to many games anymore because of work.

Anyone know if criteria goes by number of references or number of games attended?
My eldest and me fulfil the five game criteria but my youngest has five references but across four games.
He's attended more than enough games but I forgot to assign tickets to him earlier in the season so assigned two in his name for the Millwall game on the chance we got to Wembley.
Any help would be appreciated.

on the website it specifically states that you cannot reassign tickets!

Didn't get the general sale either, I tried when they were reselling the odd ticket, but the criteria stayed at 1 home league game (my ticket was cup!) as that was the criteria when it sold out - assume they'll do the same this year so keep checking if you met the criteria but just missed out.

Yeah, think a booking history of 3 should be OK. With it being a Bank Holiday Monday and what happened last year, a few might be put off.

Surely the play-offs are part of the league campaign? Otherwise they're implying that it's a totally separate competition?

Tickets don't go on sale until 5pm today anyway so if blocks 228-231 show on the map but aren't available for sale, then I presume they will be releasing blocks in stages as they did previously.

Seems a bit of a strange statement to release and doesn't really make much sense tbh. It won't affect me but it does sound contradictory so could be worded better if they are saying the playoff semi doesn't count.
Are they saying the "semi final game against West Brom will not count toward the 3 or 5 home league game criteria" for Wembley tickets...or they "will count as booking history (for the final window)" assuming the "final window" refers to Wembley tickets?
edit: I get it now..."the final window" being from Tuesday 21st May for supporters who have a home booking history this season.

You can't check your account history at the moment as it just dumps you into the online ticket office queue. You're better off waiting a few hours.

Anyone having any trouble? I had the same problem as last year. Last 2000 whizzed by in 5 minutes and now I can't get back in the queue.

I just had problems after hitting submit on the payment screen. Kept hanging then giving an "unexpected error". I tried 6 or 7 times then it worked. Keep trying.

I don't really get why they don't include cup games etc. I know they're cheaper but it's still supporting your team.

I'd say it's the same company. Got ours sorted eventually - Not exactly where I wanted and not as good as last season's seats but they will do and if any better ones become available, so be it. A very poor way of selling seats though. It should be first come first serve.

It is odd. I got some tickets for the England game last in September and subject to availability we got pick and chose where we wanted.

What's the allocation, 35k?
Mad to think if we got to a europa league final in near future we'd only get 6k tickets if it's at a far flung venue with limited infastructure as Baku is.
At least with play off finals you get proper allocations.

Had a 6pm visit this evening so set out from the office at 4.15 so I could sit by the address of the visit to try to get tickets between 5-6pm on my phone.
Refreshed on the dot of the countdown to sale and was 6646 in the queue.
Waited nearly half an hour. When I got through there was nowhere to click for play off tickets. Having searched everything I could access on the site several times, I gave up and logged out & back in again.
Straight into a booking screen. Deapite the disslyneaa of choosing and assigning tickets, I managed it but was still getting an error message.
Turns out I was trying to book a family area. Tried to work out what tells you which are family areas but couldn’t tried another area and another (each time with requisite fiddly seat choosing & assigning on tiny screen) - but every time got an error message saying I was trying to book family area seats!
By now I needed to go into my visit and be focussed on a child and family in difficulty whilst trying not to think of disappearing behind the goal tickets!
Got home just after 7 & logged in to find I am number 25718 in the queue! WTF? We only have about 22000 ST holders!
(Now at 5768!)

You weren't number 25,718 in the queue - That was your queue number (everybody who logs on is given a queue number) The next line down tells you how many people are ahead of you. I've just checked and I was given a queue number of 27 odd thousand but only 3,500 were ahead of me.

Now there are absolutely no seats left that are not either family seats or up in the 500s in the roof of the stadium!
I honestly don’t believe they have that many people left wanting family seats & most people with kids have just gone wherever they wanted to anyway.
I honestly don’t know what to do right now.

Some blocks are showing ‘error - no available seats in this area& others are showing a seating plan, but with no available seats.
This makes me think that not all blocks are on sale yet?

Had a mare, assumed WBA semi would count for booking ref and bought non refundable travel for mates. Have one mate who now has 2 home league and the playoff semi. Gutted, if anyone has a spare 3booking ref I’d be eternally greatful 🤦🏻♂️

One of the games for my booking history I bought but then couldn’t attend on the day (the 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday so not the worst game to miss, but missed out on John McGinns wonder strike.) Will this still count for my history or does it only count if you scan the ticket through on the turnstile?

Complete joke for someone with your commitment. I ended up with four disparately located seats in Block 133, simply because I only found out at 5.30pm that the tickets had gone on sale, and I'm retired!

You have to be buying at least one under 17 ticket for every 4 adults in that area or you cannot buy there.
They may well know how many kid’s STs they have - but there is nothing stopping people with kids buying tickets in other parts of the stadium. There are loads left there. None anywhere else in the lower 2 tiers at present.

Chipsticks, I understand what you say and also what is in the Twitter message.However, in the Ticket section on AVFC.co.uk regarding the Play-off Final, it does not state that the Play-off Semi Final tickets do not count towards your number of league games attended. Neither, interestingly, is there any mention of this in the Full Ticket FAQ's for the Final. I think a call to the ticket office may be best idea for me. The 3 of us get taken into a higher category if the Play-off semi final tickets count.

I am - and it applies and you can’t get a ticket in there without an u17 with you. Whichever way the 4:1 ratio applies - I am not bringing a child with me. I don’t have one of my own, and no-one is going to trust me with one!

Last year it went down to current season home booking history, it didn’t go to general sale although there were a few late (club staff) returns and frustrated folk pleading it went to general sale so they could snap them up.
So it will not go to general sale with no current home history.
Reduced supply and ?increased demand is reflected in the wording - last year the wording suggested 3 was guaranteed, this year it is subject to availability. I’m guessing a lot more dived in for 3 games in the good run.
In summary 3 is not guaranteed by the wording, but i’d estimate/hope should be fine, and even that there might be a few left to home booking history.
This is all uniformed, no ITK, any clearer/better informed opinions would be good.

Haha. I didn't realise it's on a Monday, either. I've got university classes at 9am on the Tuesday and have to get up at 5:30 to get there for 8. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be an interesting Tuesday. And a hungover one at that.

I have bitten the bullet and got ours in the upper tier now because there is no sign of new releases in the lower tier 40 mins into the new working day & I couldn’t get through on the phone. In the end I thought there was no point in waiting any longer and ending up further and further back at the top.
So - we are going to Wembley - I am still not convinced that I haven’t been done over - but I guess if people with a lesser history than me get better tickets, I’ll have to call it karma for the away scheme!
I am happy to be on my way anyway!

That's presuming everyone eligible will want one. I just think with it being a Bank Holiday, some will be put off, probably along with the fact that we were there only last year. We will fill our end, but wouldn't surprise me if it went to down to booking history or even a few on general sale to be honest.

As noted in the tickets forum the "CW Experience" including hospitality is. Seat only is 98 quid.
At the moment there is a "priority" sales period for CW members where they're allowed to buy one ticket per membership. Two friends have four between them. We got 2 early yesterday and 2 two at 10pm (spouse of a family member who's a Leeds fan had first dibs on the 2nd pair) all in block 244. He described there being limited availability at 10pm. Not sure how long the "priority" sales period lasts or whether more blocks will be opened up at 98 quid but it could be tough without the help of a CW member. Hope this helps and best of luck!

Took about 5 minutes, most of which was spent selecting a block that hasn't sold out. I've ended up near the front of the upper tier pretty much behind the dugout. And because I'm an old fogey it only cost £34 so all good!

I complained to the ticket office last year about it’s.
They were very good but ultimately, it’s the firm in Manchester who decides when blocks are released. The manager of the ticket office told me to keep contacting her as they regularly get returns from corporate clients but after I’d calmed down, I let it go. I actually had good seats in level 2 but wanted to sit in the £98 areas, which only became available the day after I’d purchased.
It’s been the same for me this season and I was within the first 4000 to buy- still couldn’t get £98 tickets.

I'd imagine they've done their sums. They only have 4/5 days to shift all the tickets, so can't have too many categories. I suspect most people who have, say, 10+ homes will already be season ticket holders. So not worth devoting a whole window to the few who are not.

Yup it's a strange decision but does favour the non glory hunter type who've hit 2 or 3 in a decent run of games toward the end of the season & got a semi ticket, I guess that was the logic.

So yesterday morning I went on the official site to find out when the tickets were on sale - nothing; so assumed it would be announced after the Derby Leeds game. Watched that, logged on to this site to find out the sale had begun at 5pm. Nothing available at that time (around 11pm) in Cats 1 and 2; went to Cat 3 and found ONE seat all on its own in a sea of sold tickets in cat 3 (Block 528), which is good as it seems to be near the half way line. The whole of the rest of the block was sold out except one. i can't really see how the ticketing system works at all but I got a better ticket than last year with a good view - Row 22 so not too high.

I thought I'd seen the same about it incuding the semi final.
When I tried to find it again there is a link from the online FAQ which says it takes you to the criteria; however it takes you to last years' criteria which does state it includes the PL semi finals.
Can't see anything about it including the semi final for this year now I'm looking again.

I say the same every time we get there.
Sometimes it’s better to risk waiting till after the initial rush to get tickets when the rest of the good blocks become available.
Of course, as usual, I panicked and bought any old shit* last night after I eventually got on after waiting over an hour.
*Any old shit isnt actually true, but 3 of us are in the upper tier when we’d hoped to be in the middle, but of course there were none available last night.

Absolutely!!! Had to choose to make sure I got tickets in a second choice area rather than gamble that areas ‘sold out’ were just being held back! Same happened last year..

I got on at about 5.30 last night and the only middle blocks on sale were 235,236,237 & all had single seats only. I was then lucky and managed to get 3 together in 235 after somebody released them. I've looked within the last hour and odd seats are popping up in 238 which suggests that it has been on sale this evening and people are releasing seats after deciding to sit somewhere else.
Disappointed with the Villa ticket office if they stated earlier that no more blocks were available.

I've entered the ballot for Club Wembley (vomit).
I haven't read the last few pages so apologies if this has already been mentioned. Does anyone know whether it's a genuine ballot? As somebody who works in sales, it looks to me like it's a pretty clever way to ensure that people are fretting so much about not getting tickets that they'll be so grateful to have been 'picked' that they'll happily hand over their credit card details before they've had a chance to think, 'hang on, is this a sensible use of £800?'.
I entered the ballot after 5pm this evening and I was told I'll get a call from one of their sales team tomorrow, which seems like a quick turn around for a ballot!

Got mine last night - took about 10 mins - Area 238 (looks a decent seat from the Wembley View) - and I am by the stairs - which at my age is good just in case I need a toilet break, half way through the 1st half!

I agree with the comments of supporters who have been more to more than the 5 games, if I had been to 10+ games I would expect to get more chance of getting a ticket than someone who had been to just 5 games. - Best of luck to everyone who is after a ticket this weekend - hopefully by Monday all will be sorted and you will have your tickets.

I’m a long standing ST holder but had to wait an extra day until my kid became eligible through the Villa Cub scheme, bit surprised that at 3 o’clock there were plenty of seats together in the family section and at 5.05 when I go to the head of the queue, there were none available at all together. Which appears daft as the criteria was that any adult had to be accompanying a child, who wouldn’t be able to sit with them.
Other than that it was painless and quick, despite me having to buy in the upper tier which I didn’t want.
If you don’t know your log in details I’d request a reminder now, I asked via the website yesterday and still havent had a password reset link come through. I did it via my customer ref number in the end.

Agreed, my thinking (hope) is that the club is probably fairly confident that anyone who has been to 5+ games that wants a ticket will get one and that's why the initial post ST criteria has been set at that.

This is a daft system which needs sorted out - you shouldn’t be prevented from linking people ‘because they are linked to other groups’.
People naturally belong to several different friend and family groups, and trying to untangle that could link you to strangers who you wouldn’t necessarily trust with access to your reference.
I guess that if you belong to several different groups there is a risk that one of your mates will get you a ticket on an occasion when you wanted to go with your family, or a different group of mates, but generally, people communicate and know who is getting tickets for who on the day. More problems arise because you are supposed to be getting tickets for someone but can’t because they belong to a different group.

I think once you're in the queue, you're in the queue. You can also request an email when you're at the front of the queue.

From about 15 mins before you get held in the pre-queue queue , but then get assigned a random place in the queue at 5 . So it’s worth being online before 5 but not massively before
Also worth having two different browsers open as each one will get assigned a random place , similarly your phone / I pad , though my experience was that doing the interactive map thing on the phone is hard so you pays your money etc .....

The way I see it and doing some maths. Allowing for ST & Claret members - I would say 26500 which would leave 10000 tickets.
Based on our average attendance of 35000, I would say all 5+ games would be okay for a ticket with 3 games going very quickly.

Once the fan ID is used you have the option of choosing "Adult" so you are paying the appropriate price even though it's a kid's ref. No problem when I did this for a mate a few days ago.

I have requested a new password reset a couple of times this season (caused me a big panic before last May at Wembley) and the link has never arrived. Basically I am relying on my work laptop.

This has been where everyone has stood up and the majority of the atmosphere has come from on our previous visits. The gradient of that area means that if people are stood up the kids won't be able to see, it would have been far better suited in the upper tier. Or better still, don't have a family section and just let everyone choose where they want to sit. Almost as bad as Derby having designated singing blocks.

That’s how I lost out on a lower tier ticket - because those were the exact sections I was trying on my phone because we’ve always been in those sections before. Because it was fiddly on my little phone screen, I couldn’t negotiate what was going wrong in time to find anything else in the lower tier! Never mind - will just have to try and raise the roof from just underneath it instead!
I think a lot of people with kids (especially those with season tickets) would just go wherever they fancy anyway. Loads of people have small children with season tickets in The Holte End x they won’t be looking for a specific section. After Wednesday there was a massive highly desirable section of tickets in the lower tier going begging whilst season ticket holders were being sent into the roof! Still - this is a Wembley policy it appears so nothing Villa could do about it.

Surely the seats will be made available to adults without children at some point? It would be pretty shit if seats were left empty while tens of thousands of Villa (and, for that matter, Derby) fans who wanted to attend were unable to do so.

Apparently they have filled up pretty quickly as soon as Villa Cubs became eligible alongside the claret members. Between 5pm & 5.05 it went from extensive availability to hardly any.
At first I had a bit of a ‘not fair’ moment when I thought people with kids will get better seats with less output, but then I thought there is no harm in doing something to look after the next generation of supporters.
The kids in that section will hopefully not be stuck in the middle of stand up/ sit down arguments and will have a great day out.

I’ve always had top tier tickets in all my visits to Wembley and never had any complaints about the view of the pitch...but I’m used to watching from the back of the Holte so appreciate others may prefer to be closer to the pitch.

I think I went into the normal www.avfc.co.uk site using my customer ref as my email addy\username and then navigated through to the ticket sales section.

I’m holding onto to a little bit of hope that I’ll be able to get some for me the wife and the kids. However, only been to two homes this season so I won’t be overly hopeful, but you just never know.
I’ll be happy watching at home though, the best things about this season is the fact my two girls have got into watching the Villa. We’re planning on running a couple of video calls from our living room to my Mom and also the in-laws which should be fun.
But fuuuuck, I really want to go.

The club will have allocated tickets to both of those criteria. Everyone who wanted to go last year got one. That was based on 3+ and booking history only. This year, because of a smaller allocation and a higher average attendance, they’ve increased the criteria but essentially if you’ve been to VP 3 or more times this season you’re nailed on for a ticket.
They’ll be some left at booking history but that’ll be very much first come first served I suspect. Perhaps under 1000 tickets

If you don’t know your log in details I’d request a reminder now, I asked via the website yesterday and still havent had a password reset link come through. I did it via my customer ref number in the end.
How did it work through your ref number instead of log in details?
I am interested as I have saved my details on my work laptop and it automatically gets me in when I use it. But if I try on my phone or ipad I fail. I have requested a new password reset a couple of times this season (caused me a big panic before last May at Wembley) and the link has never arrived. Basically I am relying on my work laptop.

Hello mate, hope you and yours are well.
I still haven’t had my ‘forgot password’ link through after 2 days, I have however had my notification of booking through to that same email address which makes me think that they have me down as my customer ref number but my email addy is another section of my profile and so it’s not syncing.
I think I went into the normal www.avfc.co.uk site using my customer ref as my email addy\username and then navigated through to the ticket sales section.
Hope that makes some sense?

Slightly confused but I guess you revised your opinion.
The marked difference is last year 3+ were *not* subject availability so in the clubs description were guaranteed. People here tend to say they have a very clear idea of exact maximum of how many that could fit the categories.
This year *even 5+* are subject to availability.
Deciding factors will presumably be the levels that don’t take up, ultimately unless anyone can get a clearer idea from the Tkt office we’ll wait and see.

Last year, I didn't even think about it being a physical ticket, it went to my old address, then on the morning of the game just as I went to get in the car, I thought "....Ticket....shit".
I gave the ticket office a bell and they sorted me out a new ticket to collect at Wembley. Don't worry at all, if you've paid for your ticket, they'll get you in.

I was 3000th in the queue...got my 2 tickets sorted easily enough in block 531 (upper tier). Sat there previously and it's a great view of the pitch, stadium and mass of Villa fans so no complaints. Tickets were selling very fast and had to reselect seats a couple of times, and there weren't that many tickets available in total with most blocks sold out, so unless they are releasing more then I would estimate approx 2000 remaining from the blocks that I could pick from. Also noticed there were literally about 20 tickets available in the whole of the lower and middle tiers in total...didn't check them all but the blocks I did were all single seats.

Most upper tier blocks only have the back rows available, and there was only a few blocks with 300+ tickets remaining. To be fair, there aren't really any bad seats in Wembley and it just depends on each persons definition of a "good seat"...I prefer to be higher up than lower down as I prefer to see formations, shape, passing and movement.

It isn’t a prediction. It’s common sense, I’ve read some right garbage about tickets.
The whole point of doing it by criteria is so the the Villa ensure fans that have been to at least 3 games get tickets. They’ll be plenty left for Monday and a handful left Tuesday. Look, if I’m wrong, I’ll come on to the thread and hold my hand up. I suspect I’m not.

For what it’s worth, I hope you’re right The_ads. Myself and others can only provide information that everyone else also has regarding ticket availability. If they are holding back blocks (which may or may not contain blocks in first or second tiers) then I think it’s a crappy way to sell the tickets even though I can understand why it may be done.

Yesterday, during the cup final, I randomly logged on to the website after 5pm. Got straight onto the site and bugger me, the whole of blocks 228,229 were available.
In my opinion, it looks like they deliberately hold back these ‘premium’ seats for later and so in reality, the earlier in the windows you qualify to buy your ticket, the shitter the choice.
I am sure I pointed this out previously to my mates, but there is no way we were going to gamble by leaving buying our tickets until days after they have gone on sale when we can buy them when they first go on sale.

The thing is am, the ticket office blatantly lied to you when they said other blocks would not become available - The exact same thing happened last year. It is an absolutely appalling way to distribute tickets.
I would have ideally liked level 2 £98 tickets, however, none have been available (to my knowledge) until yesterday. So someone like me (season ticket holder & 12 aways) gets a worse choice than someone with 5 games. Even worse for Ads who has been to every game home and away but could only purchase level 3. Appalling.

Maybe it’s more difficult to sift through the tickets to post them in the order they are sold. If the order they are sold is restricted to certain ares, then picking and posting those tickets is much easier.
That’s my theory anyway.

The lower sold out (apart from the family bit) within about the first hour of selling to season ticket holders! Many hung on in the belief that some blocks were being held back (including me) but they have not re-appeared & the ticket office advised me on Wednesday that they were sold. Sold to the first season ticket holders who got through cannot be argued with.
The problem has been a lack of clear communication which has led to people (again including me) thinking they are missing out or being sold short when they aren’t. The phrase ‘unavailable’ rather than ‘sold out’ leaves you wondering - especially as pre-sale info talks about tickets being released in blocks. It could be so much clearer.
Releasing in blocks doesn’t make sense as almost everyone will simply want to get a seat that is like where they choose to be at Villa Park. Shame for me the Wembley L7 is the family section! I also think that unless you are choosing seats at the aisle, they should push sales together to minimise individual seats. Unless you choose an aisle seat there is no reason to leave gaps in a row. I am pretty sure technology can do this and send an appropriate message to advise what is being done. (E.g. ‘You requested seats 154-156 and we are offering 152-154 in order to minimise individual seats left vacant & maximise the number of supporters who are able to sit in their desired groups.’)

I got through the queue and was selecting my seats by 5:20pm yesterday and there were only a handful of seats remaining in those 2 blocks so they must have sold very fast. I could have bought there but to be honest, I also couldn’t justify paying double the price for a seat that was only just a few rows closer to the pitch.
With regards to releasing blocks, I can understand it from a managing ticket sales perspective to maximise seat sold in each block. It’s a simple administrative control that helps the ticket seller but its crap from a supporters perspective buying the tickets (it’s nothing to do with printing as that would be automated individually).

The £98 is only if someone (/you know) owns a club Wembley seat, that they can take up the ticket. I’ve used a contact before to get some for folks but not possible any more.
Those that entered the ballot if you didn’t have that option, *if* they are selected (someone on here was, no idea if true ballot if demand exceeded supply but presume so) paid £379 which inc the £98 seat and unlimited food and booze.

They are generic tickets with event, date and seat number printed on them. They are not specific to any club or person.
They could have been been printed months ago and stored in block order. Then it’s really easy to distribute all the tickets in each block as they are sold, because limited blocks are all sold at the same time.

Derby go on general sale today 2pm (2 tickets per fan id with booking history, not necessarily this season).
They only started selling Friday and one of their categories was to new season ticket holders for 2019/2020.
They only had 2 windows Friday 10am and 2pm today.
Villa fans work hard to get their tickets, fans of other clubs don't but then we do have a large fanbase.

Back in the 90s, at the old Wembley, these were the kind of seats that were available to season ticket holders straight away, but that would be too sensible.

I think that the top price of £98 for them might be an indication that they are indeed the best seats - Or at least the best seats available in the 36,000 allocation that we received.

They charge a lot of money for all parts of the stadium - The ones nearest the half way line are the most expensive at Wembley and also at every other ground in the country.

Just looking at the link you posted, and that's pretty much where I'd choose to sit in the Holte, but with the size of Wembley, I doubt I could tell the difference between Tammy and SJM at the other end of the pitch!
I was daft enough to pay more than double that to get in block 228 though.

They charge a lot of money for all parts of the stadium - The ones nearest the half way line are the most expensive at Wembley and also at every other ground in the country.
And also where Director's boxes, Royal boxes, and TV cameras are usually positioned at all grounds.

I think if you are ok now, as long as you are on it tomorrow should be ok, but it’s all a bit stressful eh? (I’ve done this before, but not without risk as this year not all 3+s are guaranteed according to the wording.)

Maybe it’s more difficult to sift through the tickets to post them in the order they are sold. If the order they are sold is restricted to certain ares, then picking and posting those tickets is much easier.

Yes that is exactly what I want to achieve, purpose of saying released on proof is that I don't want the money to go through my hands at all, no suspicion of profiteering or touting.
Tickets not in hand yet, and I'd want the donation to go to my preferred charity so not an immediate issue, I just wanted to check it wasn;t going to be vilified. Thanks for the opinions so far

I've just seen one lad on Twitter auctioning a ticket for Acorns. You could do the same for a charity of your choice? Say minimum bid of £80, and set the time limit of say Weds, to get time to receive the ticket and then have time to post it on?

I reckon that the criteria were set as they were because the club know how many people fall into each category, and they're releasing available seating in accordance.
There probably aren't many who've been to five but not been to say nine or ten, for example, so that'd count as one group.
The final eligible group, who've done just 3 or 4 games, there's a good chance they've not been til the death and it seemed almost certain we'd make the play-offs.
Yes, I couldn't get the exact seats I wanted, but I'm not a million miles away. We're sat together, and we've all got a ticket. It'll do me.
As it stands, nobody that has followed the Villa regularly this season on their own reference will miss out on Wembley, and that's the most important thing. I'd rather that than some mad free-for-all where people who should be there miss out.

I got in and managed to get 2 in the basket but it wouldn't let me assign one to my son for some reason, but no time to try and find out why, so I ended up just buying one. As quickly as I could click on seats they were coming up unavailable so just bought the one. Could have got a ticket last Thursday though took the gamble to try and get a ticket with my eldest son who has been away at Uni. Missed out and naturally gutted as will he be.

Missed out. Queued for 40 minutes and got on the site. Kept seeing tickets available but they were gone when I tried getting them. Gutted as I've only been able to get to 4 games this season. Any spares would be incredibly welcome, pretty please.

Yep and when you consider how many crowds we've had north of 36,000, it seemed clear that the 3+ group would have been significantly higher than recent years and no way could 36,000 meet demand.
The site sells around 100 tickets per minute, so there was less than 2k left.

Apparently Wembley holds 90,000 and both teams got around 72,500 between us...so that means approx 17,500 to corporate and football family? I’m sure all those Villa and Derby fans that missed out will be delighted seeing blocks of empty seats after half time in the corporate area.

It was basically middle level, bang on the halfway line.
You pay whatever (insane) amount for a year subscription (no idea what the minimum year commitment is) and you get your seat for every event at Wembley. I was sat next to a couple who had bought them on a whim a few years ago purely because they liked going to important sporting events, and the FA Cup semi finals were part of the package.
It was a great seat, great location and what not, but the amounts of money involved will doubtless be insane.

Somehow, when I couldn’t get 3 together and it became clear they were disappearing I started scraping round the blocks to get any. Then randomly, they released a chunk of premium pitchside ones and got 3 in a row. Seems strange how I’ve ended up with better seats than most in pure luck at the very last minute but won’t complain as we did get screwed over by the exclusion of the play off game as a qualifying match this year. Anyway,Off to Wembley. We do also have a spare return virgin train ticket from Lichfield TV - 9am out and 8pm back if anyone’s interested? Face Value of course. Electronic as well so can send beforehand.

Had a Club Wembley ticket for the Liverpool semi. There was a mix of Liverpool/Villa fans and tourists. Luckily had Villa fans next to me (and we were in the Villa end.) Can imagine it being grim if you're in the away end though.

My work used to have 6 Club Wembley, had them for the Cup Final right on the HW line opposite the Royal Box, great seats. I had to donate £100 each to charity for them (2 for me and my lad). Unfortunately they stopped at the end of last season as "we weren't getting the best use out of them" A real mix of fans around though, mostly Gooners that day it has to be said.

I am travelling down on Sunday (staying in a hotel in Hayes) with no real hope of picking up a ticket but looking to enjoy the atmosphere and occasion - I am certainly not prepared to pay £300 + ( unless includes a place on the bench)- I've not attended matches this season due to health and financial reasons so I am not surprised I've not got a whiff of a ticket - l sincerely hope everyone has a great day and we all head back northwards with our heads head high and proud of the team and club - :)

We have had exactly the same allocation as Derby (36,000) - I confirmed this with the ticket office.
Derby's extra 2,000 takes them to 38,000, so it would be staggeringly unfair if we didn't get an extra 2,000 as well

Looking at the ticket map, assuming what is showing on our side as sold out is sold out with all the tickets in those blocks having been bought (and the same for Derby) I can only assume any extra tickets will be the unsold Club Wembley seats greyed out in each area, because otherwise there doesn't look like any obvious blocks where extras can be on our side maintaining segregation

My colleague is a Derby fan who hasn't been for 2 years but got 4 tickets...I'm considering asking him to get me one in Club Wembley - you can walk all the way round in there I think so as long as I got in I could walk round and look for an empty Villa seat? Or just get it as near to our blocks as possible.

It's not a further allocation. Its tickets that have always been available to them that will now be sold through Derby.

According to press article, Derby official allocation is now 38000 whereas Villa is capped at 36285. Extra seats due to there being unsold Club Wembley seats at Derby end. That is patently unfair. Effectively converting unsold "neutral" seats into allocated Derby seats.

For Club Wembley tickets you could register your interest as a fan of one of the clubs in the play-offs before the finalists were known - although not strictly part of our allocation, Wembley themselves managed the sales to fans who had registered their interest as a Villa or Derby (or indeed Leeds or WBA) fan and so presumably can maintain segregation.
I'm guessing that we had thousands of fans who were willing to take the risk before knowing we were in the final (and who have got the money to spare) for Wembley to allocate all of these seats at the full Club Wembley price to Villa fans who pre-registered. Derby probably didn't have the same, and these tickets are now going to the club to be sold at CAT A prices to prevent there being 2000 empty seats when demand clearly outstrips supply.
The thing I would be annoyed about is being a Villa fan who paid the full Club Wembley price knowing there are Derby fans in equivalent seats who have probably paid a lot less for them. It's a supply and demand thing I guess, but I don't want to start getting into the rights and wrongs of that particular argument!

OK so my Derby colleague tried to get in - they were Club Wembley seats at £98 and the ones in the 12-3 o'clock quadrant as you look at the seat map, he was going to try and get me one as close to Villa fans as possible, but they had all sold out when he managed to get in. I sat next to him and watched him do it. They use exactly the same que-it system as us.

(It’s segregated at this game, so colours are allowed). I was told ours sold out in a little over a day, but I could buy in the Derby section, as long as I was a Derby fan. I declined at £389 each, but would have bought at £98 each, which wasn’t on offer yesterday. The £98 tickets don’t count the unlimited food and drink, obviously.

The reason both clubs got 2,000 fewer tickets this year is because the tickets in the Club Wembley middle tier (which each clubs fans have equal access to, at their own end via the Club Wembley site) were snapped up so quickly last year, particularly at the Villa end.
The EFL (and Wembley) have therefore tried to profit by saving another 4,000 this year to sell as hospitality with meal and drinks for £389. They were oversubscribed at the Villa end again, but had 2,000 left within the Derby end. So these went on sale (seat only, no meal) to Derby fans today at the price of Cat 1 & Cat 2 tickets depending on whether they were on the side or behind the goal (same as other middle tier tickets both clubs sold).
So next time (!) the plan should be to boycott buying Club Wembley tickets until they’re passed onto the club to sell without the meal!
A friend managed to get two for (Villa fans) in middle tier behind goal for £78 each, via a client ID number a Burton fan got for buying tickets at Pride Park two years ago. It was two per ID number.
What really illustrates the obscene profiteering by the league is the fact that it was £120 dearer for a Club Wembley ticket (hospitality) for Monday’s play-off than it is for Sunday’s, whereas the difference in price of Cat 1 tickets for each game is only £15. That is just not right.
The price of normal admission tickets to the final is a kick in the teeth to fans anyway, after a 46 game campaign. At the very least season ticket holders of the two clubs should get a reduction. The fans who spend their season paying for the privilege of being extras in what is now just a TV show should be rewarded, not ripped off.

Lichfield Trent Valley 09.03 to London Euston, returning at 20.02 so all bases covered with potential extra time and cup presentations. Paid £38 for it. Mine came today.I was looking at the FAQ link on official site (cant find it now). It states if you haven't received your tickets in the post by Saturday phone the ticket office. If I hadn't had mine I would be phoning first thing Saturday as my post doesn't come til after midday. I am not sure what time the ticket office is open until on Saturday.

When I couldn't buy the one I had it took me back to the ticket info screen which does now say anymore made available will go back on sale to supporters with a 3+ history and the 'sold out' button at the bottom had changed to 'coming soon' which I guessed means I could have bought it had I had the 3+ history.
One of those 143 section tickets went on stub hub straight away for 400 euros.

Exactly this. The error message on that twitter post is because the lead booker has either already bought a ticket or doesn’t qualify for 3 plus. I had the same, and assigned the ticket to a friend linked to my account who did qualify. Ticket purchased.

Judging by what I’ve seen elsewhere PT there are a lot of people aware of it now and saving tickets in their basket for the 20-mins or so they get in the hope of getting a reference. Personally not sure if it works unless the ‘friend’ ID is already linked before you add the ticket to the basket, but I would assume any late spares are even harder to get for that reason

I saw 2 appear in block 5 something or other about 5 mins ago but had gone by the time I clicked through to the block. Not sure if it was the 'glitch' or actual tickets!

I could do with a bit of help/advice. I’ve only just realised that I stupidly bought a concession ticket during the mad rush of getting a ticket.
Does anyone know how strict they are at Wembley regarding this? I’ve read that they cannot be upgraded or downgraded under any circumstance.
What would you guys do? Risk it?

There’s usually some stewards waiting the other side of the turnstiles who check bags, do body searches etc. Whether they take any notice of what colour light flashes when you pop your ticket in the reader, I’m not sure but would think it’s worth risking it.

I know when we played Liverpool in the Semi final their lot were bunking in through the turnstiles two at a time so I doubt you’ll have any issue.

I really hope we don't get into a situation where familiarity with London slang terms becomes a requirement to get in.
What if the steward asks for a gorilla and I offer him a pygmy marmoset by mistake? I could end up getting my Super (Super Ted = Head) ice creamed (ice cream licked = kicked) in. It's a potential Henri Lansbury's hair (nightmare).

Mine have finally arrived. Envelope all ripped and were in a plastic bag but all tickets intact and I can relax now. Reckon some Albion fans in the depot gave them a kicking.

You could say your nipper has just gone in on your adult ticket and you had the concession ticket by mistake ! You ain't got many other options to be honest . I think/hope you get in alright.

I went to watch Orient play last weekend and the turnstiles are fully automated with the stewards on the other side focused on directing people and doing pat downs.

Highly doubtful I know but I'll be around Wembley tomorrow without a ticket so if any of the h&v clan stumble across any late spares they would be much appreciated! UTV!

I'm coming down from Rochdale to Wembley tomorrow without a ticket - I've told my 2 sons to use the 2 Club Wembley tickets that one of them got through his company. So if anyone in your party can't make it tomorrow, let me know and I would be eternally grateful.

I will be watching the game from home today.
I managed to get a couple of places in a clients box for me and the lad but decided to give up my seat to my son's best pal who was unable to get a ticket. I just hope the pair of them behave themselves!

And all they asked for in return...? £70.
Cowans ended up watching it in the Horse & Jockey in Lichfield instead.

Probably nearer to the truth is that he was on a mailing list of all ex-players and was simply sent a letter/email giving him first refusal to purchase a ticket.

A horrible reality was a row of about a dozen unused highest band seats right in front of us, not sure if they were club ones that weren’t taken up, an AV steward was touring round at one point and pointed them out to a bigwig.

Thats a good point. Even so if i had seen a ticketless Sid before the game i'd have been honoured to give him mine.

I’ve mentioned this before but I was sat/stood next to Sid in the Semi Final against Bolton at the Old Wembley in the cheapest seats behind the goal
I thought then if he had asked the club they would probably have sorted him out but I could be wrong as I don’t know how these things work
I have some photos of the day my own lad was only 12 at the time Sids lad in the photo is presumably the one playing football now
