I'd rather eat my own shit than see Delph back in a Villa shirt.

Actually no, I'd take him back, great player.

No, fuck him, I was right first time, bridges burnt.

Enda Stevens ? playing very well at Shefield Utd at the moment

UTV
The Doc
I'm pleased he's doing well. I think it was a dream move for him to be signed by Villa, and whilst he was probably disappointed it didn't work out for him, if Villa hadn't signed him he'd probably be still languishing in the lower or Irish leagues.

The departure was bodged. I doubt it had much to do with him. His decision has been pretty well justified with medals. He'd be great for us, although there's no chance of it happening.

His decision hasn't been justified. Choosing to leave Aston Villa is never justified. Hitler had medals.

Thing about CB is a lot of people assume he’d thrive back here because he’s really loved by the fans... but I’ve been to a few palace games and they love him there too, which makes me think it’s not a confidence thing and he’s just past his peak.
Not my experience on fraternising with the local Palace fans. They refer to him as BenDonkey.

Very weird last night watching the Manc derby clips ahead of the game on Sky.  Seeing Richards actually playing. Kicking a football and running about.  In my mind he had degraded into a very wealthy beggar.  I had forgotten he ever played the game.

Crikey that's bad even by the low standards of football wit! Interesting, I haven't been for over a year and it was hospitality so maybe not a representative sample or maybe they've since turned.

I think the point still stands though - he was a small fish in a big pond at liverpool, criticised immediately by fans, not played to his strengths. He didn't seem to grasp the move to palace as a chance to reboot his career so there is no reason to think a move back here would be any different.

At an absolute push, I’d see Milner back but otherwise none of the players from our recent past. We need to move forward now not backwards

Milner would be the only one who I would consider.

Considering the overpaid, overage shite that we have had on our books (some still here), I wouldn't want any of the ex players back.
I mean what would be the benefit to the club??
The ex players would love an extra contract, but haven't we seen enough of what a clusterf**k that turns out to be?

If we couldn't get Abraham back, or prise him away permanently, I'd consider Benteke, if the price was right (5 tops) and in the vein hope that it all clicks here for him. He seems a complete shadow of his former self though.

Milner could still give McGinn a run for his money in the marathon stakes. I'd have him back for definite. Adaptable, experienced and premier league quality. I think he's reached that point where he's probably not going to be needed for a top 4 side. We would most definitely have him though.
