playoff semi final A is the early game, and playoff semi final B is the late game.

As far as I'm aware, Semi Final A: has been the 3rd v 6th and B has been 4th vs 5th for at least the last 10 years. There may be something in the police wanting the game moved from a late (ish) Saturday kick off, but I would find that strange considering there was no objection to a Friday night game between the sides, and the 2nd leg is a night game anyway.

I did see a link left from someone in a Villa group on FB (yes yes I know!) that stated it as this for this year.

Apologies for making it sound that I categorically knew when the games were.

That is correct. The only instance in the last ten years where 4th v 5th hasn't been game B was when the police intervened and made Norwich Ipswich play at 12 on the Sunday.
VP should be electric for a 5:30 kick off against Albion, reminiscent of the cup game a few years ago.

Yesterday's game is why I think playing away 2nd will actually suit us. If we can take a lead there then we can soak up pressure and play on the counter attack and you'd fancy us to score at least one. Leeds never really looked like scoring yesterday and with Mings and Tuanzebe we look very solid and composed at the back.

In fairness they let the 8pm Friday night kick off go ahead this season.

The 4th/5th playoff first leg is the later game on the Saturday. Guessing it would take exceptional circumstances for it to be changed. This isn't it.

I also feel that playing at home first will suit us. I’d fancy us to get a lead which the Bitters (already with fragile confidence) will have to chase by taking risks, which will also suit us and open up more opportunities for us.

Think of it like scoreboard pressure in cricket.
