Playoffs
« on: April 22, 2019, 05:04:56 PM »
Guaraateed after todays results.

Boro cant catch us and both Brizzle and Derby cant pass our points.

We could catch Tescos and get 2nd leg at home.

Interesting battle for 6th as well now - don't rule out Swansea who are currently 10th

I hope we get Sandwell Town in the semi-finals. Either that or we beat someone else and they lose theirs.

Unlikely that it won't be after today, more a question of who will be at home in the second leg.

A simply sensational achievement to get into the playoffs with games to spare. God think how bleak things looked on Boxing Day in that game at Swansea

Massive well done to Dean, the management team, all the players and the fans...amazing achievement to win 10 games on the bounce and secure a playoff spot. The Villa promotion juggernaut goes marching on...

Derby ‘COULD’ overtake us but even if we get no more points they would need to win their last 3.
They have 3 tough games, Bristol away, Swansea away then the boggies at home.

Mind you, you can just see the Tesco bag fuckers throwing the game to avoid playing us.

Can it really be only three months ago that I wrote this after the Wigan fiasco?

Quote
Having a coffee in the Costa outside the DW and wracking my brains as to think of a worse performance whilst we've been in this division.  A few surges forward by McGinn was about all we offered over 90 minutes.

To a litany of shitness I would add Bolaise to the list of players who I look forward to never again seeing in a Villa shirt.

Oh, and a goalkeeper who believes short throws to closely marked defenders is a viable outlet when your under the cosh.

If you'd told me then that we'd make the play-offs with two games to spare, I'd have accused you of being delusional.  I just hope now that we can keep this momentum going for another month.

Yes however I am ruling them out. Sixth is between Bristol, Derby and Boro.

It’s going to be a long couple of weeks, waiting for those playoff games to come round.

fuck I was thinking Preston where we were shit yet scraped a draw, writing Swansea because it was the cup game soon after which was an abomination. I'm a mess
