Very sad for Bolton fans and a sad state of affairs for such an historic club and fellow founder member.

I really hope they pull through this.  Of course I'd prefer three points, I'm not all charity...

It is very sad for them as a club and I hope our less thoughtful fans attending will be respectful to their fans going through this.

Another club who surrendered their heritage for a Lego Stadium.
Then piss poor Financial Management.
A well trodden path.
I do feel sorry for the fans though.

Phoenix Nights was brilliant.

Although it was written with Dave Spikey and Neil Cantrecallhissurname so not just Peter Kay.

You're picking on the wrong Kay. I believe it's Vernon you should be aiming your vitriol at. Annoying twat who somehow, has a very nice Mrs.

My wife and her family are all from Bolton, and all support them to varying degrees.  When we lived in Horwich it was a great away day for me.  Few pints in the decent pub at the end of our road, then caught the train from right outside the pub for the 5 minute journey to the stadium.

There's a Dave Spikey quote on a paving stone on a main street in Bolton.  I see it as their equivalent of Sunset Boulevard.  It also has Ken Wolstenholme.
