Some comedy from Owls Talk    ;D ;D ;D

Quote
Can't actually believe the delusion by Aston Villa the club and their fans, both actually believe they deserved the win even though:

• their equaliser is from absolutely nothing!
• we absolutely murder them 2nd half!
• the blatant cheating by Villa all game (Grealish and his diving, their player run into Hutch he then looks at ref and begs for a free kick, we get to the edge of the box and the ref stops the game, then Villa player is fine)
• the keeper makes a lucky save off Fletcher's penalty
• we should have a 2nd penalty for a clear 2 handed push on Hooper when the ball's in the air
• the 2nd Villa goal is totally undeserved and lucky to squeeze it in from the angle he did
• both the 1st and 3rd goals come off long balls they were playing all game!

I honestly dunno how they are where they are, all they are on that performance is a poo long ball team that are lucky!

I really hope they fizz the playoffs up and stay in the Championship just so we can do them over next season the set of deluded twats!!!

They really are bad losers. It was the same when we beat them there last season. They had a petition to ban the ref and apparently we had paid him off. Putting 7 goals past them in two games on their turf obviously means nothing. It's all down to cheating and bunging the ref! Fuck 'em and fuck PH.

I don't usually look at other teams forums but they have a 7 page thread which is mainly talking shite about Villa fans...and it looks like pre-game quotes from some on here. Amongst other things, apparently we're deluded arrogant self entitled twats and we never like Bruce because he managed Blose (yeah one of them went there with that old chestnut). We aren't popular with some of them bread cakes tut north! :D

It's not arrogance, we're just better than them in every single way imaginable.

It would have been nice to have been on form and outplayed them good and proper, however a smash and grab is well worth just to see and hear Bruce’s reaction!

Superb spirit from our team.

Could someone who went to the game provide individual marks for each player please, or give an indication as to how each one played? Many thanks.
Here's a view:
Steer - 7: did everything asked of him, including the penalty-save.
Elmo - 5: him, Green and Hause were a mess on the SW goal. Generally did okay, but not for the long-term.
Taylor - 5: did nothing particularly wrong but doesn't get down the line enough
Mings - 6: not his best game, giving away the penalty and there were one or two passes that went dangerously straight to an oppo striker. His pass for our first goal was, however, sublime.
Hause - 6: looked comfortable until his injury. Both him and Mings were playing against very physical and experienced strikers and both dealt with them; just.
Whelan - 6: looked leggy early, but did some good covering work and broke up play at important times.
SJM - 8: wonderfully mobile, even if he didn't nail down Bannan, as I thought he might have done. What a goal!
SJG - 6: not his best game, by  a long way. I personally think Bannan bettered him.
Green - 4: apart from the chase and pass for our first, he was poor - didn't cover back enough and wasn't proactive enough* when we had the ball
Abraham - 6: did okay with what he got ... which was, not enough
El Ghazi - 5: did okay but - like Green - not proactive enough*

Tuanzebe - 6: difficult coming into this game after a long lay-off; understandably cautious with the ball but did okay.
Adomah - 7: I'm not a fan of AA, but - yes - he did well when he came on!
Kodjia - 6: apart from a ridiculous volley at the far post (when a header would have been more effective), he did okay in the short time he was on.

The noise from the Villa fans was really, really impressive today: a solid wall of sound for much of the game.

* for me, being "more proactive" means moving into space at pace rather than standing on the touchline waiting for the ball (because when it arrives the only real option is to pass it back to the full back). There are times when both Green and El Ghazi show real promise, but it really is only in short flashes.

Looked at a few Vlogs today from the Sheffield Wed game on YouTube.
Even in the Sheffield Wednesday ones the thing that really stood out was how loud the Villa fans were.
Congratulations to all who went up there.
Fantastic support.

Watch the Sky highlights, which you probably have, and listen to the roar from our lot when Steer saves the penalty then keep listening as it gets cranked up a notch as the ball is eventually cleared.  Amazing support.

The way John McGinn shields the ball is a wonder to behold! You NEVER feel he’ll be pushed off it. The armadillo of footy, great player.
He is an energetic and agile Gareth Barry.

There is nothing better than his arse-first approach. He's like an impatient porn star.

See latest issue of H+V and two pages I wrote about SJM's arse.

Didn't go yesterday but watched most of it on Facebok via someone holding his phone up to his TV Screen. The picture wasn't wasn't as crap as it sounds  although it was a minute or two behind.

It looked a similar game to last year. Didn't play particularly well but scored two late goals. Mings looked as if he had one of his worse games for us (those who were there can correct me of that) although I thought the pen looked harsh. Great win though and we keep on going.

Spare a thought for me.  I was on top of the Rockefella Tower in New York City when we were 1-1 and derby and Bristol were winning wanting to throw myself off!  Got to the Starbucks to find out we were winning 3-1 happy fcukin days!  Wrestlemania tomorrow!
Mate you are on a roll. At this rate I can see you jumping in the ring today. I mean what can go wrong?😂
