Albert seemed very subdued after scoring - was it just respect for a former club?

I thought that too
forgot all about him playing for Boro

Good news about Conor. Became a dad last night and got the game off.

Another assist.

Superb delivery.

Success in the box once again

It is a disgrace that at this crucial stage in the season both he and his wife didn't turn up for the game.

When we relegated Coventry after being two goals down and coming back to win 3-2 my wife was at the game with me and due to give birth to my son. During the game I speculated how great it would be if she actually gave birth at Villa Park. She didn't share my enthusiasm for that particular scenario. Women eh?

I think with McGinn, Grealish and Abraham; we always had about the best attacking side in the Championship. Now Mings has arrived we're looking great at the back too. Be nice to have Chester alongside him and Hause at Left-Back.

It's where we signed him from.

Yeah I didn’t click on straight away
Thought his goal celebration was subdued then later realised why

Yes and also he must have had a very good relationship with their fans because he went over to applaud them at the end.

I am not so sure about Chester. If Tuanzebe is there we will have the best pair of centre back footballers in the League.

In our last home game before we won the old First Division in 1981 we tonked Middlesbrough 3 nil and that was a masterclass too. Coincidence ??

I'll need to watch it back, but didn't our second goal start with Elmo out-skilling their bloke by the touchline? The belief runs through the whole team.
I pointed this out to my seat neighbour. It was brilliant football all started with Elmo right back in Holte End/Witton corner.

The OS youtube highlights are up.

Disappointingly, the build-up to the second starts with Elmo getting a small ripple of applause for the thing you don't get to have seen him just do.

I think the only time I was worried yesterday was Tammy's injury.

What's the overall feeling on Kodja? I know he didn't get a lot of time, but I was a tad disappointed with his effort yesterday.

Although maybe that's just a reflection on how well Tammy helps us defend from the front.

No, Tuanzebe is the right choice to partner Mings with Hause moving to LB.

If Kodjia wasn't already here, I don't think Smith would be looking to buy him. And the same probably applies to a fair portion of the squad.

After Davis' cameo yesterday, I'd suggest he's now fallen a little further down the pecking order.

Kodjia came on before Keinan and Keinan only came on because El Ghazi took a knock. Kodjia is still the first choice replacement for Tammy. He won’t be here next season along with several others.

Did Tammy do his hammy?

The one negative from yesterday. Anyone know the latest?
