Pity about Blose conceding to Preston at the death, would be good to shake them off. But it's amazing to think that 5th place is very much within reach when barely a fortnight ago we were all thinking a 6th placed position was an extremely long shot.

Mind the gap 😬

I like to think we’re above that sort of thing

It’s a long time since we have played like this, I know we had spells and some performances under Bruce.
This was different we were organized calm and managed the game, it  looked like we were playing within ourselves.
This is what coaching and proper management brings.

Yes but they started it mum.  ;) Ain't Karma a bitch eh? Especially when they regularly get hit by a big dose of it.

MOM as good a holding midfield performance as you can get.
Intercepted everything and moved the ball quickly and accurately.
Superb and I thought Taylor and Elmo played really well.

How on earth were Boro fifth?

They were absolutely dreadful.

Their wheels have been coming off for some time now. Today they crashed. I just hope they don't replace Tiny over the international break. I can see us finishing 5th with Preston 6th. All nicely set up for 2 leg game against the Albion.

As for the game, great first half, we took our foot off the pedal a bit in the second but no worries, plus tiredness has to come into it having played 3 tough games in 6 days. What's important right now is we're playing and moving in the right direction.

After 30 mins I said that Whelan was giving a masterclass in how to be a holding midfielder.
He kept it going for 90 minutes, pretty much a perfect performance.
And as for Mings, he was majestic again.

For me it is impossible to separate them for MOTM today.

No disrespect to Boro, as I wouldn't wish Pulis on any fucker (ok, maybe Blues), but that was fucking easy. I thought we may struggle to break down there back 9 when I saw the line ups but we made it look easy.

Love McGinns goal.
