At their place in the balloons period - we won 1-2 I think, Chico scored? all a bit vague but I remember Tony Butler on the pitch before kickoff getting a lot of stick and a surge where everyone near me fell forward but instead of righting ourselves we got stuck at a 45 ° angle and stayed like it for about 5 minutes. Could have been scary but we were teenagers so just a bit of a laugh.

Mine was 1967.
Us 2 Them 4. Barry Bastard Bridges.
I'm sure most of you can do better.

Same here. Adding insult to injury, the ITV highlights of the match shown on the Sunday only showed the second half (due to an industrial dispute?) : it had been 2-2 at half time.

0-3 home defeat in the 80’s?
Might have been 85’ or 86’.
Just remember it being shocking and leaving before the end.

12 April 1969, in the old second division, we won 1-0 at VP, Dave Simmons scoring the only goal.   This was during the revival brought about by the new regime, with Tommy Docherty as manager, which saw attendances leap from 12,000 to up around 60,000 in a matter of weeks.  The crowd for the Birmingham derby was just under 53,000.

1986 and even though we struggled that season we had picked up a bit by the time of the derby (helped by the signings of Steve Hunt and Andy Blair on deadline day) and when I saw their line up I was convinced we would win comfortably. They had been having an even worse season than us but I think Wayne Clarke got a couple of Steve Whitton scored the other one. Saunders had left a couple of months before and John Bond was in charge of them.

That was my birthday and I was dying from a hangover on the way up from London. Most scared I have been at a game - the crush to get in through a few turnstiles was terrifying.

Easter 1970, 2-0 away victory with Bruce Rioch scoring. We still went down to the 3rd division though!
