I also think the often trotted out quote regarding promotion not being a necessity has been mistaken for a lack of ambition whereas I think the comment was made to calm any fears of financial problems if we don't go up this year. So far the powers that be have stopped us from going bust, given the manager they inherited a reasonable shot, appointed the guy so many fans wanted and are now giving him a reasonable shot. Cherry picking certain quotes to back up our current frustration regarding results is unfair in my opinion.
