A vicious Villa Park turning on players and management is the most likely scenario I think.

Can't see that. If we're losing most would go home like last Friday.

If Hourihane is playing, we lose. If he's out, we win.

So Carroll still not fit so it’s going to be Conor again, not good. Dean also said he wanted to put jack on the bench but the doc said he should stick to his programme. Sounds like he’s getting close tho

And there I was thinking football was a team game when all along it's been down to one individual! There's no hope for some on here.

I'm reading a lot on social media about a possible vicious/toxic atmosphere at Villa Park, and am a bit worried that people are mistaking a load off hacked off Brummies (which we are even when we are winning let's face it) who are getting a bit fed up with losing and drawing more than we'd like?  Isn't that what it basically is?  I think the words people are using like toxic purely adds unnecessary weight to the story, which is basically we're a bit moany at the minute, nothing more.

A good reason to leave facebook alone then.

Anyway, why isn't O'Hara in consideration for a midfield role?  Yes, he's lightweight and not quite the required standard yet but I think he'd still offer more than Hourihane.

Because we don't have a player called O'Hara?  :P

Probably because O'Hare is on loan at Carlisle Utd until the end of the season is my guess.

I'm surprised TV hasn't shown the footage of Dwight Gayle going up to the referee and asking him not to award the penalty because it was not a foul and he had just been "avoiding anticipated challenges", true Corinthian sportsman that he is.

1-3 to the Stripey Filth
Rumblings of discontent towards Smith and he and the team roundly booed by the few fans who stay until the final whistle
The club gave up on promotion weeks ago and almost admitted they had done so with their comments about " not needing to go up this season"

It's worse than that.

The guys at the top actually told everybody they were not "requiring or expecting" promotion.

Bring on the abuse. But that's the facts.

What an utter bore you are.

Dry your eyes mate.

It was said, by the top brass, in mid December.

And quoted, out of context, by you ever since.

I want us to win by scoring 2 goals in the last minute, one goal a blatant double handball, the second  a penalty as the result of one of our players taking a swan dive to avoid impending incoming challenges.

If the old saying "well it evens out over a season" is true, then this will surely come to pass.

We are due a penalty mind.

Those were my thoughts exactly when I read their statement.

As for the result I registered my vote on here as a Villa win but now I am thinking 2-2.
