Hopefully Whelan's last start. I'd have started Kodjia.

I can't be arsed to complain about Whelan being in there again. He was decent last week too.

Win please Villa. Good that we can try and let Chester recover now.

my heart sinks a bit when I see Whelan in the team

not just because i see Whelan in the team but because I was hoping this manager was going to be different from all the others we have had

Me too. He wants three in midfield so of those available Whelan although generally crap is less crap than BB. I think Jedinak will be the better option but he’s coming off a long term injury, and once Jack is back Whelan will be on the bench.

Mine too, mate.

And the fact that Hutton is captain. And Taylor and Hourihane still seem beyond the axe.

He is making a rod for his own back is Smith.

Still, time to find a stream and cheer them on.

El Ghazi is being given a lot chances considering he’s been shite since his one good display at Smethick. I really think Kodja should be playing.
As for Whelan, best of a bad bunch between Jedincack and the moody bloke with a blonde. pony tail.

The fact that Taylor still commands a place despite a transfer window and the size of our squad pisses me off immeasurably.

Still, 3 points today is all that matters for now.

It’s not going to change that quickly. Next season two those three won’t be at the club as their contracts will expire.
