Absolutely. I don’t think we lose v Everton if Lindelof had played instead of Torres. Mings may not have been ready…

Unai must have had his reasons .. and let’s respect his decisions.

Not sure about that.  Torres made a mistake sure, but even then Martinez has to do better. Plus, pretty sure it wasn't Torres that blasted over the bar 6 times from inside the box.

Him and Lindelof were excellent. He’s perfect for those games where the plan is soak up pressure, then hit on the break. It’s just not how we play in 95% of matches.

I love that man.

I do too. The picture of him at Bournemouth station still in his Villa kit two days after our playoff win is one of my favourite Villa pictures ever.

Just to add to the Ty love-in. He’s been magnificent from the day we bought him.
So glad he’s still contributing to our progression.

There are some games and environments he is perfectly suited to. Hostile environments, physical contact needed, dealing with high balls stick Ty in.

To come back like that after such a long lay off was awesome.

I'll second (or third) that. Despite the odd calamity or unexpected handball, he's been a legend ever since that photo!

As good a CB performance last night as I've seen from the big man - big shout out for Lindelof too. The pair of them looked so comfortable playing  together. I would imagine that pairing will be given an outing next Thursday too
