Small point of contention, Maths has played it's part in sport for a long time and been a bit of niche that the geeks enjoy. This isn't that, it's finance taking over. The commercial side of a club should exist to support the sporting side but we're in very real danger of that balance being flipped (and at some clubs it's already happened).

As it has in almost all other walks of life.

Good lad. If he does want to beat the shit out of Martínez when he comes back, hopefully his teammates will let him.

Careful, we don't want 5 armed police turning up at your door.

Interesting that he was captain ahead of Martinez last night with McGinn on the bench. Emi doesn't seem to have been completely forgiven with whatever went on in the summer.

Think that's been clear for a while - Konsa takes it any time that McGinn goes off the pitch rather than Emi.

Hadn't noticed that. Thought it odd that it hadn't been commented on.

A pity Tyrone pulled his hamstring sprinting back when we lost the ball from a corner in the 92nd minute. That leaves the left CB position short for at least 4 or 5 weeks.

Tyrone Mings is set to miss a minimum of seven weeks with a hamstring injury. 32yo sustained injury during #AVFC's 2-0 loss against Liverpool and underwent scans on Monday, having been in discomfort as he left Anfield on Saturday. Story @TheAthleticFC

We haven’t got much cover there now. I know Kamara can step in if needed but that weakens us in midfield.

Lindelof for Christmas. Great. Would have preferred Brut and socks.

Bugger.  Were pretty light at CB now - Linderlof, Kamara or Bogarde if we need cover
