Do you really think his name has an apostrophe in it?

It will be interesting to see how Ming’s performs against Arsenal - our defense could be in for a tough afternoon.

Guess he'll be helped by it being Havertz up front for them, so a bit more of a physical challenge.

His work phone obviously does.

Mings is so dominant in our own box when defending corners. Brilliant.

When we get a corner, the instruction should be 'aim for Mings head'.

Do we need a set piece coach?

Yes, "Cross the ball into the position Mings is going to get into". "Hmmmm, try again" Repeat till lunchtime.

So I’d see it slightly differently. Mings did well under the aerial bombardment towards the end. But I’d say he had pretty poor night from a distribution perspective and that was quite a key factor in them being able to launch attacks and create pressure. With Torres, I think we keep the ball better and face less of the issues we did face.

Both good players, but if we’re trying to control games - particularly against better opposition than Everton - we can’t keep gifting the ball back.

Don’t think Mings’ distribution was any worse than most of our outfield players last night - and was prob a fair bit better than those playing higher up.

Mings is more competent in his perceived weaker area than Pau and his struggles with the defensive side of things.
Mings distribution has been as good as Torres this season if not better. Torres is having an underwhelming season and hopefully the break will do him good and he comes back refocused and recharged .

I'm a massive fan of everything Mings has done for us, and I appreciate that your Pau Torres voodoo doll needs a few more crazy pins jabbing into it, but this is absolutely nuts.

I'd probably right now pick Mings over Torres on the merits discussed earlier, but making claims like that is just fucking stupid.

Yep, Mings is a decent passer for a centre back but he's nowhere near Torres.

The point being made is , Pau Torres passing this season has been nothing special and that's his main strength as we know his defensive game is quite average .

Well that’s not the point you’re making though is it. You’re saying Mings has distributed the ball better than Pau, which is clearly not the case.

I love Mings, he’s bloody ace and we’ve missed him massively. However that is a ridiculous comment, his distribution isn’t anything on Torres.

If we could find a mix between the two, he’d probably cost well over 80/100 million

His pass through to Duran for the goal versus Bayern will live long in our Villa memories.
