Is he really going to have only started running around with the rest of the squad in training this past week, to then get to actually playing a match this week? Sounds to me like the time last season where a journo saw an instagram post of Mings in the gym and took that to mean he'd be back in a week or two.

Out on the pitch playing seems unlikely but I could imagine putting him on the bench and getting him back into a matchday squad, much like Emery did with Carlos towards the end of 22/23 and seems to be doing with Buendia currently.

My guess is there will be a similar Meaning Evil story ahead of every possible game in which Ty could feature, until he actually plays in one.  At which point they will point to their story as being a sign they're "in the know".
