Even if we sign another player I'd keep Cash though, how many teams have a second choice right back better than him? Not many.

I'd be aiming for a brilliant new right-back this summer, keeping Cash for squad purposes, give Nedeljkovic another season on loan, bring him back to compete with.   BNRB and move Cash on next summer.

It will be interesting to see how Unai fits Mings into the team next season, when he is fit enough to play, and who drops out of the team to give Mings a game?

I cannot see the Spanish Centre Half - sorry can't remember his name - signing for us without a guarantee of playing regularly (his salary is also going to make him one of our top earners).

Tough decisions for Unai, as we have done so well this season, but we have to make our squad far better next season, if we want to do maintain our league position and try to win a trophy.

It will be interesting to see how some of the current 1st 11 react to not playing and being on the subs bench?

Mings will compete with Torres for minutes. The way Torres finished the season, I'd give Mings every chance of getting back in regularly. Torres does have an excellent pass on him but especially after Kamara got injured his limitations defensively were exposed. Torres might well have been carrying a bit of an injury too. That's the kind of competition Man City have and provided Mings comes back fully fit we should have it at LCB next season.

It's not that their left footed, it's that their right foot is just for standing on, Mings particularly. We won't be able to play out from the back at all if either of them are on the right side. There's a world of difference between both CB positions, especially in Emerys system where patience and precision on the ball is required at the back. Though put Konsa at RB with them and playing out from the back won't be a concern. Just need to find the next Cascarino or Crouch...

That's the thing. I haven't really seen any evidence that your average right-footed LCB is usually any more ambidexterous. I think it just gets noticed more with lefties.
