I don’t even know where to start but to say thank you for all of your messages of support Villa fans. From the day I came here on loan I’ve given everything on the pitch, I’ll now give everything off the pitch to come back even better, whilst supporting the team 💜 @AVFCOfficial

To the players, fans & staff connected to @NUFC I also want to say thank you. The applause, the messages & the medical support I received on the day was really appreciated.

Tbf, the Newcastle fans seemed quite affected by it. They knew it was a bad one. The atmosphere completely changed from a raucous nature to it being dead between the injury and half-time. The game just died.

Once their 3rd went in, the heads dropped and we just didn't have any fight in us.

He is such a class act. I have got used to a feeling of doom whenever his name wasn't on the teamsheet since he joined. Hopefully the improved squad depth will negate some of that but he is such a huge loss. A leader and a symbol of our recovery from humiliation to upwardly mobile Premier League club. But ultimately just a ruddy great centre half too.

Tyrone has been the constant along of meatball in our resurgence, let’s hope he can come back just as strong, as he deserves to see the job through. Putting Aston Villa back where it belongs, at the top table.
Best wishes Ty.

OS confirmed it’s ‘a significant knee injury’.  Do we have a problem saying ACL or something?!?

My son recently did his ACL but it took a couple of weeks for the swelling to reduce before they could confirm. Maybe it’s similar with Tyrone.

I think its probably more of this modern day football PR talk where clubs, managers & players speak a lot of words, but say absolutely fuck all...

From the replay, it looked so innocuous. How did it happen, his knee went a different way to the rest of him after he nudged the Barcode away from the ball?

Did he say how bad the pain was?

I knew someone once who did this and they said the first 10 seconds or so it wad the worst pain they'd ever felt, vomit inducing. But after that it wasn't too bad and it was bearable.

Similar yes, he’s gutted because he’s missed out on 2 cup finals because of it.

Mentioned this when the Buendia news broke but this NFL player did his ACL just walking

Tyrone Mings is and will always be one of my favourite Villa players.
He has always given everything for the club on and off the pitch.
A true leader there is no wonder heads went down on Saturday, all the team will have known the injury was extremely serious.
It's up to us on Sunday to get behind the team just like Tyrone will no doubt be doing.
Get well soon big fella

Yes we have been unlucky this week but it does happen at other clubs. Ultimately the club will have to plan the season without him and to remain competitive . I am sure there are contingency plans for this sort of thing .

If anyone wants a particular player injured this weekend just let me know and I'll stick them in my fantasy squad. Timber, DeBruyne, Mings and Stones all part of my week 1 teams.
