I remember ages ago playing Newcastle at VP Bellamy was clean through at full speed then pulled up with a hamstring injury to massive cheers from our fans.

Was worse than that it was more laughter than cheers.

Bloody funny though

Our fans waved and sang cheerio. He had been winding them up all game. It's the only time I have seen that happen.

PS sorry for messing up my earlier post

OS confirmed it’s ‘a significant knee injury’.  Do we have a problem saying ACL or something?!?

Aston Villa can confirm that Tyrone Mings has sustained a significant knee injury.

The England international was stretchered off from the field after damaging his knee during the first half of Villa’s match at Newcastle United on Saturday.

The defender has undergone scans and will unfortunately require surgery ahead of a lengthy rehabilitation process.

What a bloody shame. Absolutely love Tyrone, I sincerely hope he can come back from this. We are going to miss him big time. Good Luck Ty.

This is Ty’s thread and out of respect of a great leader , player and man, if there are to be replacements discussed, please could we discuss those in transfer thread and not here ?
Clearly there will be a need, based on Unai’s rotation and various playing styles in all competitions, so a loan would be a good idea. In addition I’ve read over the weekend that when he is not in the team over last 12 games missed, we’ve only won once and conceded 23 goals !
Many Best wishes Ty for surgery and rehab

Over to transfers thread……

I'm gutted for us because we've lost our main man, but I'm more gutted for him, he was in the form of his life with everything still in front of him.

Get well soon big fella. If it's a crumb of comfort at least Tyrone and Emi will be going through the same thing together.

The club would always have had European qualification again as a big motivator this season, but given Ty’s comments pre season on how much he was looking forward to playing in Europe, it should be an even bigger push for the players to secure it for him to play in it next season now, I’m hoping
Unai’s motivational skills will be massively tested now missing Ty, as the players will know what a man he was on the pitch

I can't believe this, Emi and Ty in one week.  I'm not sure some fans realise just how important he is to us.  I really fear for how we will manage without him, but it is an opportunity for Torres to show us what he can do.

It might not be. Or it might be that and something else.

It doesn't really matter, though, it's just grim AF.

Feel so sorry for him, not going to get to play in Europe until we're in the Champions League next season now.

I think you’re doing most fans, at least on here, a disservice. We’re acutely aware of his importance, just got to hope someone steps up.
