I've got a real problem knee, having dislocated the joint and ruptured my ACL three times, and I didn't cry with pain, but after years of physio I still can't walk properly. I've broken my hand (for which I'm also still doing physio), my arm and sliced the tip of my right middle finger clean off, right to the bone. I sheared off flesh, fat, nerve, and lost a pint-and-a-half of blood, but I had no idea for a good two or three minutes. That took three months of cutting away scabs and flesh to make sure it healed fully.

Equally, I I was stung by a wasp when I was 9 and cried like a baby; cracked three ribs a few years ago and was in agony, but they healed within six weeks.

Based on my very limited experience, hopefully it's one of those where the pain is much worse than the actual damage.

Get well soon, Ty.

Rory, is your middle name Lucky by any chance?   ;)

A speedy recovery Ty.  Big boots for Villa to fill.  I suspect having suffered serious injury before and knowing what is ahead of him, the way the club are progressing, yesterday's result notwithstanding, and the hopes of actually winning something, his tears were borne out of frustration as much as the pain.  I wonder just how much of an effect this is going to have on his team mates?  They have lost a big, big leader.

We’ve struggled with leadership issues for a number of seasons.

With big Ty out, our one natural leader, I think we may regret letting Ash go.

Yeah, I think that too.

The other thing about Mings is, as an extension of him being a voice and an organiser, I think we're going to see more evidence going forward that his presence alongside him is what enables Konsa to perform well, and taking that away is going to expose him.

What an absolutely shit week.

I think he did a lot of hand holding of Konsa, hopefully he won't look too lost without him.

It's a bit ask for Torres to come in and be the big voice organiser.  The only time I notice Konsa shouting is after the event.

Yep, I thought it was a wrong move at the time and I’m still to be convinced otherwise as we haven’t bought anyone in. Yesterday losing Mings made it even more of an issue.

He will be sorely missed.
I wondered wether his upset was emotional realisation of the situation as well as the obvious tremendous pain.
Sad to see someone in that distress.

Imagine holding your phone to record that.  Smh.

Listen to the slack jawed yocal twats having a pop at Martinez because he is telling them its serious after they booed Mings.

Yet the media will wank over their fans doing what almost every set of fans do whenever there is a perceived serious injury by clapping him off.

I couldn't wait for the season to start.

I cant fucking wait for it to end now...

It'll be interesting to see what we do now. We still have Torres, Costa, Konsa and Chambers so he may just bring in another right back but that may be a risk considering the amount of games Costa has played recently.

Costa?

Really good point. Loads of them just to our left were booing until the stretcher came on.

I think we are largely all the same really, football supporters, we have twats as well. In fact some mentioned John Terry earlier, I remember him getting Benteke sent iff in the last game of 2014/15, then getting an injury meaning he was carried off, and I admit, i stood up and cheered along with seemingly 30,000 others. I may be a twat I suppose.

It would have be no different at VP if it was an opposition player.

When he went down, Newcastle's attack continued but once it was over and Tyrone was still on the ground while we shot off up their end with the ball, it was obvious he was fucked. Now we *know* Tyrone would get up and shrug off a knock or a hard challenge but it is all part of the game for opposition fans to give him stick for 'simulating'. They could have caught on before seeing oxygen and a stretcher though.

I remember ages ago playing Newcastle at VP Bellamy was clean through at full speed then pulled up with a hamstring injury to massive cheers from our fans.
