So what injury has Mings got???

We don’t know yet. But ACL tear is very possible. Based on what we saw I’d be surprised if he plays again this season. Maybe if lucky at the very end.

The fact that he was crying and had to have an oxygen mask says it all for me.

Its clearly very serious and he'll be out the rest of the season.

Having now had time to calm down and reflect on the game, I feel very sad. Mings is more than a player for us and he'll be sorely missed. People who don't rate him are about to find out how important he was for us.

My Mrs who is a nurse said that was gas and air to divert his attention from the pain.  A bit like pregnant women in labour.  That’s how painful it must’ve been.

I've got a real problem knee, having dislocated the joint and ruptured my ACL three times, and I didn't cry with pain, but after years of physio I still can't walk properly. I've broken my hand (for which I'm also still doing physio), my arm and sliced the tip of my right middle finger clean off, right to the bone. I sheared off flesh, fat, nerve, and lost a pint-and-a-half of blood, but I had no idea for a good two or three minutes. That took three months of cutting away scabs and flesh to make sure it healed fully.

Equally, I I was stung by a wasp when I was 9 and cried like a baby; cracked three ribs a few years ago and was in agony, but they healed within six weeks.

Based on my very limited experience, hopefully it's one of those where the pain is much worse than the actual damage.

Get well soon, Ty.

Him leaving the pitch was so destabilising that we never recovered. He's the rock of this team, we need to make a huge adjustment now

Ty has suffered bad injuries in the past. I think he knows this is a very bad one and at his age I wonder if we will see him play again. I doubt it. Very sad. He is my favorite player and I worry now that the entire season is on the line.

Shame for him - but we were poor defensively with him on the pitch - there centre forward had the beating of all  of our centre halves

Hopefully he will be back next season

Absolutely gutted about this, so sad for him. You could make the case of him being our most important player, perhaps after Martinez. He's a beast, organises the defence, wins everything in the air, blocks a shit load of shots.

Will be a massive loss 😞

Who is now going to wade in and grab or pick opposing players up by the scruff of the neck when handbags or time wasting is occurring?

Huge void in leadership and direction in the defence now. This concerns me.

It'll be interesting to see what we do now. We still have Torres, Costa, Konsa and Chambers so he may just bring in another right back but that may be a risk considering the amount of games Costa has played recently.

Tyrone Mings doesn’t cry normal tears, that was liquid weakness leaving his body.
