Good man, Tyrone meets up with Prince William to promote HomewardsUK. https://twitter.com/TyroneMings/status/1673776244461109254

Not everyone here will appreciate his hanging out with royalty and grand gestures.

Still a legend though?

Compare and contrast to the gurning pisshead up at Oil City that we used to tolerate.

That's probably unfair.  Yes Tyrone handles himself brilliantly, but not many players are as articulate as he is.  But for the most part, Jack handled himself absolutely fine with us (Covid crash being the only serious exception - I'm not hammering him for the holiday antics when he was a kid) and I'm sure he was heavily involved in charity work too.

I get the strong feeling that Tyrone does good things because he's a good man. I get an equally strong feeling that Joe does a lot of them for marketing reasons.

Possibly true.  Certainly, in respect of Ty, he's a fantastic bloke.  But as for Jack, he always seemed a personable guy and I'd guess not that much different from the vast majority of footballers.  He generally came across well in interviews and any charity videos.  I've no reason to think he's not a very decent bloke underneath.

That's not fair, I know with absolute certainty that he did loads to help out with Acorns that was outside any contracts/agreements in place. The guy is an idiot and has run with the 'party boy' image to a ridiculous degree but lets not go for a full character assassination because he left us.

Tyrone has a history going back to his Ipswich days of paying for shirts and tickets for fans. He does seem a genuinely decent bloke.

Yes but Joe has left now so the mind of an irrational football fan takes over.  He was and is a twat.

I just don't see the need to bring him up at every opportunity.

"Tyrone is great"  - "wasn't Jack a massive ******, never did anything for us."
"Ramsey is a great home grown lad"  - "wasn't Jack a massive ******, never did anything for us."
McGinn has turned in to a good captain - "wasn't Jack a massive ******, never did anything for us."

Agree. It's all a bit silly.

Massively concerning, especially given his age and previous injury problems.

What a fucking disaster. Two massive injuries in the space of a couple of days to two very influential players. Just when things are good we get these two hoofs to the nuts. Get well soon Tyrone.

FUCK

I am sat here speechless. I can barely move, and don't care that we are losing because what happened to Mings is so much more of a worry.

We are the unluckiest club. I really hope I am wrong but that looked so bad.

Poor Tyrone, that looked a bad one. Even if it's not an ACL, it looked bad enough to keep him out for ages.

Hoping that injury isn't as bad as it looks, all the best with the recovery Tyrone. Could be another ACL which would be a real blow.
