Loved that interview, what a guy he is.

We've got some good interviewees don't we, what with Tyrone and McGinn. I think Ash has been insightful too in recent times, now he's a seasoned vet.

Yes, it’s the type of insightful interview that you expect from other sports but is much rarer in football in this country. A credit to the interviewer and interviewee.

So glad Tyrone is one of ours.

In the interview it was interesting that he said that Unai showed him a video of how he was playing,

He said ‘You’re here, you’re there, you’re every-fkin-where’ (ok, he didn’t say the last bit)
‘ I just want you to play in your position’

So we might have to change Tyrone’s song!

It's a great interview, hopefully he does more of them in future when we have realized our potential under Emery.  Mings is 30 and supremely fit, we could get another 6 years or more out of him I think if he remains injury free.

That interview was not just inspirational for what we know and continue to learn about regarding Tyrone, but it gave a tiny insight into what is happening at at the club. It’s a revolution. Not a change. It’s a complete cultural shift of simply accepting our place in the food chain to saying, no, we deserve to be much further up, but we have to work our bollocks off to be there. Nothing is for free and hours upon hours are being invested in the now and in our future. It’s brilliant as a fan to hear and especially given most of our recent history. We’re not just going to wave the white flag of meek acceptance.

I liked the bit where he raved about Howe and how detailed he is, but then went on to say that Emery is effectively on another level.

Yep, Newcastle obviously did their due diligence in going for Emery first and then settling for Howe. Which is nice.

Anyway, Mings is just bloody brilliant.

Could you ever imagine Emery saying “Chelsea should be wiping the floor with us” or any team for that matter?

I liked Mings saying that as long as he achieved what he could, by trying his best then he'd be happy; it's not all about trophies for him.

.

I was thinking the other day that he has already had more highs as a Villa player in four years, than Gareth Barry had in ten.

Ten games in a row
Playoff final win
First England Cap
First win back in the Premier league against Everton
Beating Leicester in the semi final
Playing in our first cup final in five years
Last minute winner against Watford
Staying up on the last day
Beating the then world champions Liverpool 7-2
Beating Arsenal three league games in a row
First Villa win at Old Trafford since 2009
First league win against Man Utd at villa park since 1995

That's a good point. I appreciate it's early days but when we do come to replace Emery I expect the bar to be raised to levels we've never seen before.

Gerrard's big strength was meant to be his winning mentality. That comment said otherwise.

Absolute charlatan.

Did anyone question why they should wipe the floor with us ?
