The contract was a two year extension wasn’t it? Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

His performance today summed him up quite well: great last ditch defending, did lots of things well, but made it all rather academic by gifting them a goal.

He's a lovely bloke, but if we're really aiming high we have to be ruthless.

We can still keep him around. Wes Morgan was incredible for Leicester when they won the premier league but he reverted to type in the seasons after. Was still in their squad in May 2021.

All round he still offers more than Konsa who is no leader at all in the games Mings misses and his passing and dwelling on the ball is even worse than Mings who at least knows when to just punt it up the pitch.

Look at that Odegaard chance again. Konsa also got away with a similar error v Leicester that should've lead to a goal so I can't see how he can still be a regular next season if we do want to be more ruthless.

Captain Bungle back again with another fuck up. How many goals do we score from blatant errors as oppose to ones we gift away? Therein may lie a clue as to how good some of our players are.

Does Carlos play left or right? We can't replace every player this summer so maybe we've decided to go with Carlos and Mings, putting Konsa on the bench and getting rid of Chambers.

Then move on to other areas that need strengthening.

That header for their first was almost as poor as the one he gave away against Chelsea. If he hasn't learned by now that nodding it back into the penalty area is a very, very bad idea, when is he going to?

He's right footed but played as the left sided centre back for Sevilla.

Maybe we're going to play him at RCB then cos there's no way Mings can play on the right.

Either but moreso right.

Problem with that theory is that CB has been probably our weakest area this season so not strengthening there and we’re going no where. Also, when have you known a team play a season with 3 senior centre backs. I agree with offloading chambers but to make room for a (hopefully) really good new player. As one of the main priorities.

I can't get my head around why anyone would head it back towards the penalty spot? I'd be pissed at Sunday League level at that. Completely illogical.

How many goals a season do we concede as a direct result of these fuck ups?

The header wasn’t great but he’s still far better than Konsa. I just don’t know what’s happened to him he’s been awful for ages.

Konsa beginning to remind me of Cuellar, the opposition know he can’t pass and hope we are stupid enough to give him the ball.

Konsa has not moved on, not great in the air but pulls off a good block every so often to make him look good.  I really don't rate him highly at all.  Same for Digne.  Mings does need to tidy up his silly errors though.
