Has it come out why he didn't play yesterday?

Yes, Gerrard said on the telly before kick off that he was ill. Sounds like Covid symptoms to me, although managers won't say as much these days.

Ah, ok. I didn't catch any of the telly box build up. Thanks.

Illness apparently.

Smells fishy to me.

Sounds quite an unpleasant illness in that case.

SG never mentioned COVID. He said TM had a headache and a sore throat.

The West Ham rumour won't go away with him. Wonder if Dawson is coming the other way. Mings and Carlos to Dawson and Bednarek in 2 weeks.

Tyrone is the type of person that makes the world a better place with his decency. Souness is the type of person that would sit in a flat roof pub all day glaring at anyone he doesn't know as he wants to be the local hardman.

Nay Cnut leaves this pub until we find out what Cnut did this.

If we sell Tyrone Mings and keep Steven Gerrard I'm taking the season off and I'm deadly serious about that. Really can't be arsed with this wanker upsetting all our players with actual ability, so he can play this fucking stupid system. See also L. Bailey, E. Buendia and B. Traore, amongst others.

Just to play devil's advocate slightly, what if all of the above mentioned have really poor attitudes which Gerrard has called them out on and they don't like it?

Then we really have a big problem.

I was told last week that staff in the Villa shop aren’t allowed to talk to or acknowledge the players (some kind of God complex) but I didn’t really believe it and shrugged it off as nothing; however if true, it’s small things like that which may suggest there is an inherent attitude problem within the club.
