If you get 40m for Mings that's good business. He;s knocking on 30 and will always drop a bollock every four games.
This could be Gerrards "Arteta Aubameyang" moment

Only for Mings we would be last.

I can definitely see Tyrone getting sold this week. It seems inevitable for some reason.

Would Gerrard be stupid enough to do that?
1) We’re short on defensive cover
2) He knows he’d be putting a price on his own head, considering the fan reaction to the captaincy/look me in the eyes debacle.

Think I’ve answered my own question. The answer is YES.
He’d better not get rid of him, or next weekend will not be a pleasant experience for him.

Would explain why we are so heavily linked with the left fired Diallo from PSG.

Given that we currently have 3 fit centre halves I would be staggered if we’re selling Mings. No chance in my mind - he’s started the last three games when fit hasn’t he?

If we bought 2 in, then selling Mings might be on the agenda. Huge gamble letting a player like him go when you are struggling though.

Bednarek is worse so we'd certainly need someone else.

I really, really hope we don’t sell him. Be a stupid decision if we did.

Ending the transfer window with Konsa-Bednarek starting v Man. City would sum up the last 12 months.

It has to be said that we’ve been a bit unlucky with Carlos getting a serious injury after a couple of games.

We've got one player out injured. We've been shit for 12 months.

Yes, but said player was brought in for a fairly hefty fee to help improve us and then got seriously injured almost straight away.

Would not be suprised if Mings wants to leave, the way he has been treated by Gerrard.

Agree. In our current position, trying to sell Mings would be a sackable offence in itself.

I don't think Mings would leave, I imagine he was unhappy with either the talk of another centre back coming in or the fact that he'll be rotated this week with three games in six days.
If the reported illness was, in fact, a masquerade, however he could well have symptoms of a Covid strain so wish him all the best to get better.

Has it come out why he didn't play yesterday?

Yes, Gerrard said on the telly before kick off that he was ill. Sounds like Covid symptoms to me, although managers won't say as much these days.

Illness apparently.

Smells fishy to me.
