Mings is nursing a groin injury

And there you have it

Ok, so do you now have to 'look the manager in the eye and tell him you're ready to play' once you're over an injury? Seems a strange protocol.

Alan "Birminum" Curbishley still annoys me.

It's probably why he's still out of work.

You can't trust Coventry people either, pronouncing it with a hard "g" so it sounds like Birmin-Gum.

Archbishop Herbert Cockthrottle must condemn.

I guess that was more to do with Mings having a mard, and being a titty babbie.

The thing is our defence wasn't the big issue to sort out during the summer. While it wasn't perfect there were more pressing needs to sort but now Gerrard has given himself another headache.

Mings to Wolves?

I got dropped a couple of times back in the day and it stung like fuck, I fucking hated it. I wouldn't talk to anyone and felt like every teammate had betrayed me. The ego is a fragile thing.

I'm generally (I think) a level headed bloke and embrace the team ethic, but yeah, the resentment is hard to swallow down.

and then there are the teammates who say things like, there is no way you should be dropped, you are a lot better than ....... and of course you believe them.

They were right though, not that I'm bitter or anything.... :)

The manager just wanted to go in a less bulbous direction, Lee. That's the modern game for you.

I've said it elsewhere, what Gerrard did initially seemed reasonable - not to my individual liking as I see McGinn as more of a liability than Tyrone.  However, SG has now started a bit of spit which no matter how you dress it up does not look good.   All I would say is that Villa look better with Mings than without at the back - backed by by Manure, Rennes and Bournemouth goals.  Konza is not the best header of the ball and Chambers  in the air is not his greatest strength.

All I can now see is a split changing room.

I was back from a broken kneecap and had been in a cast for 4 months, anyone is going to be carrying a bit after that. Reinvented myself as a target man and came back stronger though, maybe that's what Tyrone should do
