We concede too many goals, and lapses of concentration from Mings are a big part of them. He'll either cut them out or he'll get replaced.

I don't think it's any more complicated than that.

I think Mings deserves the opportunity to play behind a stronger midfield before he’s completely written off.
Sorry but what's that got to do with stupid school boy errors when at times not under pressure?

Two of them school boy errors were one not being alert for the short corner for  Leeds goal number 3 and Douglas Luiz?fapping about on clearing it for the second,no problem with the second Leeds goal as he thought it's better than a big whack up the field and try and take it out, small things but important in hindsight

Because in most part he’s been an excellent player for us and we are a better team with him until we have someone as commanding as him.

Buendia barged everyone out the way trying to get involved in clearing the ball for Dan James 2nd goal Mings had it covered. Showed much nonsense by EB in trying too hard. He's injured himself in the process. Buendia was misplacing passes all game and then got in way of the defending. Mings not at fault in my eyes.

we're currently a bottom half Premier League side - which is Tyrone Mings level. So, for now; he'll do.

When we go marching up the leauge in the coming season's he is a player that will end up being upgraded for better.

I think we just need to buy a top level centre back to go with our new top level DCM. If Tyrone plays well enough to keep his place good for him, if he doesn’t he sits on the bench. So far in 2 and a half seasons we haven’t spent much time in the top half, I assume all Villa fans want us to do so and the only way is to continually improve the squad. Making the assumption that Gilbert won’t be back and Young may well be off at the end of the season based on his age, we could keep everyone else including Targett and still have room for a new player. Chambers would be predominantly right back competition.

That’s what we pay the scouts / recruitment team to do :-)

I like that Koulibali that plays for Napoli but can’t see us pulling that one off. I also like Phillips for DCM but can’t see that either.

I like that Tuanzebe who's also at Napoli!

"However, following the arrival of Steven Gerrard at Villa Park, it felt as if the rivalry between Man United and Liverpool came to life.
For the avoidance of doubts, Axel was very open to staying at Villa, he loves the fans, being in Birmingham. But he also has a career that he can only build and reach his full potential in an environment where opportunities to play are fair."

So the move by SG to oust him makes little sense professionally as Axel understands the club and Chambers is not so much an upgrade outside of being more experienced so its disappointing and rather petty the character of SG in doing this. This is an example of how novice and inexperienced managers go about things and that's the difficulty we have under his tenure that he has aspects of a player or captain mindset.

It's to your detriment that you've taken that bollocks as fact.

Good enough though. But fair enough if don't rate him. I can see him not be rated and thought he could always do a job as a defensive midfielder to be honest . Even in Bruce days I wanted him in that position. Not sure if a back 3 suited him and as for right back SG fair to let him go for his system as he doesn't have that attacking ability.

He got his arse handed to him by two Blues strikers at Southampton, that lad they bought from Blackburn that hasn't scored before or since, and now 47 year old Shane Long, it was a pitiful performance and it looked like the first time he'd ever been asked to play centre half.
