100% this. As long term sufferer of mental health I've heard the man up, just get on with it etc all my life. Mings has gone up massively to me and given he is one of my fave players I hope he gets support he needs and continues to lead us as our new skipper.

I can see why people think he would be a good choice, but I think I'd rather let him concentrate on his defensive duties rather than having the extra responsibility of being captain. I'd possibly give it McGinn.

The only extra responsibility is calling heads/tails. He's been the leader on the pitch for the last 2 1/2 years regardless of who was wearing the armband.

Given the awareness of the importance of mental health to say “man up” in response to an issue with it is reprehensible. If even one person going through struggles hears that type of bollocks it could have a serious impact. Mills should be suspended.
