I hope the knee taking keeps going, it's working. Like that stuff they put in the swimming pools to show who's been pissing.

About right.

The last three pages have been a depressing read. Tl;dr, a white man knows more about racism than a cultured, educated, sensitive mixed race man who has overcome hardship, racism and poverty to take a stand against racism. It's a great look for us as a fanbase.
Just copying my original message for context.

I'm a massive fan of Tyrone but think he's on to a loser here.

"At the same time, at Wembley there was a hugely positive reaction to us taking the knee as well"
Right Ty. That's why you were trying to keep everyone else kneeling when they jumped up after a couple of seconds.

You can't have BLM on your shirts when you first start making the symbol then say it's not that BLM when they make the met police kneel and try to burn the Union Jack at the cenotaph. It doesn't wash. It's going to get booed. Do something else.

I'm not going to get into a back-and-forth about this, but I'd check what the Met have been up to over the last 40 years before you start clutching your pearls in defending them.

Why not? What's wrong with it? Ignore the BLM and listen to what has been said by the England camp. What is so hard to understand and also why is so hard for you to disrespect the message?

Yep, Tyrone Mings and Raheem Sterling, because they dislike being racially abused on Twitter, are clearly calling for neo-Liberianism to be taught in every school. Of course.

If people are booing the knee because they are against a political ideology that literally NO ONE on the pitch is advocating for, then I think it's safe to say there is literally no gesture against racism, whatever it may be, will be acceptable to the booers.

I think there is a small minority of those booing - those who are genuinely ill-informed or radicalised by certain sections of the media - who genuinely think Marcus Rashford is about to seize the means of production, but the rest of them just see it as 'woke', which they hate, and so it doesn't matter what the gesture is, because whatever it is, it will always be 'woke' to them.  The knee, a raised fist, linked arms, a handstand - it doesn't matter. To them it will just be 'woke nonsense' and they won't like it.

I'd imagine that would be really irritating. But I'm guessing I'd cope?
