Also true, but if the rumours were true, Keown had attributes (well one) about his person that were more than a match for any man. And with that I’ll say no more.

Since lockdown I’ve thought he’s looked far more confident again and has been one of a few who have been ok. He lost the ball yesterday and gave them chance to score at a silly time.

That’s one area he really needs to tighten up though, knowing when to hold onto the ball or not. It’s so much more faster in this league as he’s found out. I really do hope he’s still with us next season though.

I think I'll skip lunch after reading that. What an image!

Mings has got all the attributes to be one of the best English defenders for a generation.  Height, strength, speed and skill.  Unfortunately, he can't concentrate for an entire game, thinks he's better than he is, and doesn't appear to have that put your body on the line bravery that really top defenders seem to have.

Don’t agree on the bravery thing. I think he has made the most blocks in the league. He does have a tendency to drop very deep though, which means we can conceded a lot of space around the box as with the goal last night. Not sure it that’s down to him or the team instructions.

Spot on regarding concentration though.

He's looked worth about 5 million tops since the restart. Looks like the bloke has lost his heart for a battle.

Right now, i'd rather go forwards next season with Hause and Konsa and Engels wherever the fuck his is.

And if anyone is daft enough to offer us around 20m for Mings i'd snap their hands off. I expected way more from him this season. I know it's a huge step up to the PL but i fear all the adoration may have gone to his head a bit. If he can refocus, realise he's not king Dick and get back to basics we may see the old Mings back again of course. But sadly, i think the ship has sailed.

I think he has suffered as we are frequently on the back foot.

Alongside an experienced centre half I think he'd be better, he is often trying so hard to organise the chaos around him he becomes part of it.

I know he hasn't been amazing recently but crikey we do like to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

For some reason he's also started to think he's a majestic long ball passer

For some reason he's also started to think he's a majestic long ball passer

Well maybe he’s realised at times he has dithered on the ball and the opposition know he’ll just play it to a full back so driving it forwards is another option. This has also coincided with Davis in the team, so I would say it’s been an instruction from the boss.

Since he became involved in the England squad he thinks he's Charlie Big Potatoes!

As previously mentioned,if anyone  is stupid enough to give us anything near what we paid for him then bite their hand off!

Or maybe he’s be told to close his eyes, whack it forward and hope something sticks.

If anyone comes up with our money back then I’d drive him to his new team personally. At this level he’s a walking liability. Always trying to over play, gets caught out and his positional sense leaves a lot to be desired.

Indeed. He owes Neil Taylor numerous apologies for taking the blame for his poor positional play/walk abouts.

Been at fault for numerous goals this season and looks uneasy when ever he has ball at feet in recent games , Hause looks more composed than him !

He does have all the attributes to be a top CB so it's a case of he needs more exp at this level or better coaching.
