Mings just isn't as good as Mings thinks he is.Try getting back to basics like marking players, defending and clearing the ball without all the drag backs and long pinging passes and use it as a base but at the moment he simply can't defend for toffee.
He's been as bad as anyone else this season for sure. He got a lot of plaudits last season and rightly so, and he's had some great games this season. But overall he hasn't upped his game to the level required.Him mouthing 'how how how' last night might have been him thinking others had screwed up, but if he think's he's been doing enough himself then he clearly wants to take a good hard look in the mirror.
The other thing is his time on the ball playing at his own pace. Has to be very careful with that play.
Why does our club never build on momentum? Think back to last May, we had so much going for us .I thought this man would be massive for us- need him to step up and rally the troops for the battle.
He’s a good player. It’s bloody hard when the midfield offer no protection and the full backs can’t really defend.
Most games he seems to have a semi brain freeze. I like him a lot, but don't think he's good enough to be the no1 centre back, he would do better playing with a more experienced player next to him.
Given he is 6 foot 5, I don’t think I’ve seen a centre back in the Premier division this season worse than Tyrone at heading a ball or winning it consistently in the air.
