Bargain at 20m in my opinion

Maybe a bit more than we wanted to pay, but only by about 5M, so do it and move on. At least they know that he fits in the club, looks nice in the team colours,  ;D

Massively overpriced but in this era of imaginary money who cares. Can only assume Dean and Suso have adjusted the overall budget and list of targets accordingly.

Money talk aside, assuming he signs on the bottom line, greatly relieved to see Tyrone coming home. Welcome back mate. We missed you this last month!

So if Mings us overpriced at £20 million what about John Stones when he signed for Man Citeh at £45 million?  Mings is a bargain compared that failure of a player!

The one signing that we absolutely needed to get sorted. Brilliant news.

Didn't paul_e have Hause, El Ghazi and Mings down at 10-12 million for the lot about a month ago?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be pleased to get the deal done, but £20m for someone with 17 EPL appearances in 3 years or whatever it is, is probably about 3 times more than we would have paid in January. Good business by Bournemouth not to agree a fee back then.

It’s all very well saying that John Stones was over-priced, but he was an Everton regular, without any injury issues when Man City bought him.

Get Tyrone to speak to Axel to say he wasting his time with yesterday's team. I reckon we'll do 'em finally at Villa Park after 24 years of hurt since '95! OGS will be gone before the end of September.

Some other player being massively overpriced doesn't make Mings a bargain. Football transfers are a false economy and values are plucked out of thin air sometimes. He's a very good player and I'll be delighted if he signs and will be hoping he stays fit and uninjured.

Here's hoping the positive acquisitions continue over the next two weeks or so.

It will be his performances and the results they yield which mock the fee paid for him.

Remind me how much Bournemouth paid for Solanki and Ibe?

Just having so few players left in the squad has obviously made negotiations to bring players in very difficult for us. Hopefully we should be in a stronger position when we are making the final few purchases, and the selling clubs realise we are less desperate for numbers.

we might well have tied one of our centre half’s up for the next 6 or 7 seasons playing at his prime and people think we payed 5m to much !!
