I doubt the key to releasing mings is signing a 2m player from. Luton

4 million and why not? If that’s their plan then that’s their plan.

My view is for what it’s worth is that we will either sign Tyrone Mings or we won’t.
I agree with your view and it's a very worthwhile statement. It has calmed me down a bit totally.

According to Nixon Bournemouth want £25m and we won’t pay it.  Cahill looking more likely.

Greedy if that's true, given the fact that he hadn't played for so long and then played well, but in an inferior league.  Perhaps the time for romanticising is over?  Webster, Kongolo better options?

Don't the carrot-manglers want the same for Webster?

I can see this one going down to the wire, unfortunately. Both clubs will probably reach some form of compromise and Mings will eventually join us in early August.

I guess so, the world has gone mad.  Asking daft money for people who have never played in the top league, Phillips, Maupay, Webster et al.  Crazy, no wonder there are so many foreign players in the league, far better value.   And anyone who says we did the same for Grealish is a bit short sighted, he HAS already played in the top league, and was excellent but in a shit side.

Cahill on £100k a week is a shit deal. No resale, potentially finished. Pay proper money and get a player who may be the real deal. We've already paid £20+ for a forward from an average league who may or may not be crap.

That's the inflated Premier League nowadays I'm afraid. John Stones went to Man Citeh for nearly double that amount and he's shite. Van Dijk £60m? £25m for Mings is a good price. Just pay it- our owners should go for it. Relegation will cost far more than £25m in the long run....
