People keep confusing Carlos’ achilles injury with an ACL. Can’t think of the other myself.

Yes I did.  It’s four if you count long term rat injuries.

Heaton, Wesley, Carlos, Buendia and Mings all getting long-term injury in the space of three years is just horrific.

Wasn't McGinn out for a good while in 2021-22 as well?

Just checked, was out for 5 months in 2019-20.

A Villa Jackass posted this on Facebook which came up on my feed this morning:

Brilliant, and never mind what people say about the game, the best team won, Mings going off etc etc, doesn't wash with me, good luck for the rest of the season, you fabulous Geordies deserve it.

I had to respond which I don't often do:

You mean that a significant player for Villa suffers a potentially career threatening injury doesn't wash with you. Mings, despite being a great player and leader is a Villa talisman and a decent human being as well. Do you actually know anything about him? You need to change your avatar to one with black and white stripes.

Bit sickening and myopic if he doesn't think what happened to Mings was a factor in the result. Seeing his reply to your comment, he would have done better to take a second or two to consider how to phrase his comment. It's ok to give Newcastle fans credit for applauding Mings off the pitch but he's comment isn't well thought out.

Can you imagine posing for photos with a smile after the few days he's just had?
