Just having a Google and a lot of places have him at 1.85m, the odd one has him at 1.78m. There is some discussion on a reddit thread where no one can agree. Someone said that they have stood by him and he was smaller but they are only 6ft. Weird in this day and age that there isn't a definitive answer.

Edit: I'm going with he's a small tubby funster, about 5ft 1"

Numerous sites have him as 6'1".

He's over 6ft.

I think in the absence of anything else we have to presume that he calls Alan Wright "beanpole" and he's actually 4'8, the same size as his nan.

It's like Shay Given, supposedly 6ft 1. I stood in a lift with him in the Mailbox and he was shorter than me, and I'm just short of 6ft

I've seen Bono twice at Dublin Airport and he's absolutely tiny, even Luke Shaw is taller than him.

I reckon he's about 1.3 Alan Wrights.

I thought we were discussing height, not width.

Footballers do often seem quite small when you meet them in real life.  I met Gazza in 2003 in a hotel (he was on his way to China for a last hurrah as a professional, so nowhere near his peak), and he was shorter than me. I have the photo somewhere showing as much.  I'm 5' 9".

I doubt Shaw is more than about 5' 10".  Look at him next to Lisandro Martinez, who is famous for being a 5' 9" centre half.  There's not much in it.

Anyway, Ty is f***ing massive.

Late 90s, I took a couple of girls from work to a game at Villa.
Part of the reason being that they wanted to ogle professional footballers in real life.

They couldn't get over how small footballers are in general.

There is a reason tight football shorts stopped being a thing.
