One of the worst things about social media is people crying about not being allowed an opinion anytime somebody disagrees with them.

Can't see this happening now. Time to move on to other options. We need players in now that pre-season has started and a US tour next week. Window closes on 8th August.

Righto

I would agree with you but I'm not allowed.

What’s the panic here? I have full confidence that he will be a Villa player by the time the window closes which will be before a ball is kicked in anger. And if, IF he isn’t I have the same level of confidence in Dean Smith/Pitarch/Purslow that they will have researched alternatives and not leave us in a vulnerable situation as Steve Bruce did at CB.

35 days to go.  A signing a week and we are all set.  I reckon we will bring in a couple from ACON too.  Perhaps that's one of the reasons it's a bit quiet at the moment.

I don't agree with that but instead of saying so I'm just going to think it.

I wouldn't call it panic but it's curious that, if this transfer is as nailed on as everyone says, it hasn't happened by now and as far as we know is not imminent.  If he could post some pics of him still in his Villa kit I'd be reassured.

I think the transfer is nailed on hilts. But Bournemouth know we want him and they will have been told he wants to leave by the agent. But what’s their rush is more the question? They don’t need to help us so they likely will give it the time they need to find a replacement to make sure they have what they need in terms of cover before selling him to us. And you never know someone else may make a bid and drive the final price up from whatever we might have offered.

Isn't that precisely why it isn't nailed on though?

I think we would match the price which is what the clause is. And I could be wrong but I just don’t think anyone values him as we do and Mings I think would turn down a move elsewhere.

He's good, but he points like Westwood's grandma.
