Notts 270-5 at tea, trail by 24. There’s a minimum of 36 overs left for us to take 5 wickets and potentially score any runs that they eke out that mean we must bat again.

Even if we took the last two wickets in two balls we'd only have 4 or 5 overs to knock off 60 runs.  Not happening.

If we'd scored a bit quicker on the first day we might have won this.

True, but there's nothing we can do about that.  But we can do something about our scoring rate.

The Bears seem to have turned a corner which is good to see. A win would have opened a healthy lead over Notts but as it stands the fact that only one team gets relegated this season should help us as long as we stay ahead of Notts.

Sidebottom and Stone should be back in action before the end of the month but unfortunately Ian Bell’s post surgery recovery is taking longer than anticipated and he’s seeing a specialist today.

Fucking Hell, we don't half score bloody slowly. Chances of having enough time to win in an English "Summer" with our Boycottian tactics are just about nil.

Bears are nicely placed ahead of day 4. Hopefully we can take the remaining wickets pretty quickly and the weather will be kind.
