Yet again for the Pears poor batting display in red ball cricket is not giving sufficient support to a very good bowling unit.

Hopefully they are scouring the loan market for an opener to give Mitchell some support

Visiting New Road for the first time this season to watch the Bears in the Twenty20. Where is the best place to sit. Thinking in terms of view, atmosphere and, most importantly, proximity to bars.

39 runs off 34 overs between lunch and tea at Edgbaston.  Sam Hain 7 not out off 84.  That'll get em through the turnstiles.

Why have we waited until AFTER the 110 overs which applies to batting bonus points has expired before finally picking up the run rate?

One batting bonus point with wickets in hand is ludicrous.

Leaves us less time to get twenty wickets, too.

No idea what the logic is.

Good to see Adam Hose finally in the runs. Should hopefully give him confidence going forward.

We have done eventually. Hose went for 111 and we finish on 391 for 9. Notts need 242 to avoid the follow-on and avoid any realistic chance of losing.

Looks like bad light this afternoon and rain tomorrow so can't see much change of anything other than a draw.

Some great bowling figures so far as Notts limp to 93-8.

Norwell 10-8-6-2
Patel 11-6-12-4

Fabulous stuff.
