Finding it hard to get excited for this game. Massive rotation will be donw on both sides. Looking forward to seeing Ohare, Revan and some fringe players though. Hogan has to start this.

Expecting something like;

Kalinic
Bree, Elphick, Revan, Taylor
Lansbury Whelan Ohare
Elmo Hogan Adomah

We're gonna be playing this lot three times in relatively quick succession. I thought we were lucky to get the two previous wins. I reckon our luck will run out for this one.

Sure. Let's pick and choose which games we want to win and lose. It's always worked out well for us in the past.

Can't we try something different, like, just trying to win every game we play? Odd, I know, but worth a try?

We should have scored 4 or 5 in the first one.

Most teams fighting towards the top or bottom of a league change their team for cup games.  They do this for a reason.

It's clear to see the likes of McGinn & Hourihane are knackered at the moment.  Chester has been carrying an injury and Tammy has had a heavy workload.  I think most managers in our position would change it up.

I would still like to see us win this once in my life time but understand some players need a rest and others need a chance (love to see what O'Hare can do).
Still going for us 3-2 and a Premier League outfit at Villa Park in Round Four.

Hoping O'Hare starts.

He's fit again and there's a video of him twatting a shot at goal and knocking Terry over.

I really hope he starts in that number 10 role.

That wasn't O'Hare. It was Chris Jameson.

I'm looking forward to not being nervous at a Villa match for the first time probably since the last time we played an FA Cup game.

I'd very much like to see Keinan Davis get some significant game time. I assume Smith will go for Hogan up top though, particularly if there are doubts about Abraham staying. As others have said, it would be good to see O'Hare start. Injuries seem to have held back most of our promising youngsters recently (Davis, O'Hare, Green etc.). Taylor and Lansbury to start if fit. Would consider throwing in youngsters if they aren't, rather than revert to Hutton and Hourihane. I think McGinn could do with a rest. Would also start Hause in place of Chester if he signs in time, which appears unlikely. I'd go;

               Kalinic

Bree  Elphick Chester  Taylor

    Bjarnason, Lansbury

El Ghazi    O'Hare     Bolasie

              Hogan

Steer, Revan, Bedeau, Doyle-Hayes, Adomah, Hepburn-Murphy, Davis

Is Steer cup tied? He was on the bench for Charlton's first round match vs Mansfield which was drawn, but was not picked for the replay and the second round.

Forgotten man Esah Suliman was recalled for that Dutch club he was on loan at on 28th December after only featuring in their first team for a total of 9 minutes in 2 appearances. He could feature against Swansea this Saturday. A CB who can also play at RB..

If Smith is hell bent on sticking to the 433, I wonder where ohare could play? One of the wide positions but more tucked in?
