Was it that (very attractive) woman who was on soccer am that time?

I think so.  Not sure I ever saw that, but she was a bit of a div.

Toni Duggan.  She missed every attempt at goal, including the double their money penalty kick on Soccer AM.  Not a great advert for women's football.

In answer the the OP question, clearly there is no answer.  McGinn is holding our midfield together on his own.

I reckon Carlos Gil could have been the answer

We're talking about someone who posted on here aaaaaages ago.  Think she was a soccerette once or whatever they call them on Soccer AM.  Not an actual footballer.

On Jack... B.O.T.

My fear early on in December... was  my usual suspiscious thought.

'Cotton Wool' time, prior to a sale.
We've seen it many times before -
Star Player, suddenly out-of-play ... injuries/illness... whatever....
BUT not risked on the pitch, before a January Sale !

It's still there in my fears for losing JG.

If we keep him  ;D..... DS has proved, we can survive without Jack.

We don't need his Set-Piece-Fouls, as Steve seemed to train on, DS has let him free and he's been better for it.... I reckon.

DS has shown we can survive and prosper without Jack, but FFP and P&S are more serious problems.

So Jack might go... hence his 'cotton-wool' pre-window.

I WANT to be wrong....and paranoid .... ;D

If Jack is out until March or so we definitely need a change. The midfield were playing now doesn't look right on paper and looks worse on the pitch

Sawyers is a very obvious shout

I hope he changes it for QPR anyway though. We need more energy as much as we need more creativity

changing things is not something Smith has been keen to do since he’s been here
obviously he will be hampered by having so few options

but the same old stager names in the line up every week is somewhat disheartening
Before he came we were led to believe he had a reputation for taking risks and not being afraid of throwing in a youngster or two
so far we have seen the exact opposite

I’m still very happy with Smith but he needs to be braver

Needed to get a settled side and approach to playing established first.

Severely limited options apart from up front. I do wonder have good the youngsters actually are. The better ones seem to keep getting injured so that’s not helping. I was disappointed to see Green go out on loan but I see since he recovered from his injury at Portsmouth he hardly ever features, that’s disappointing.

I don't think Brentford had a youth team?

So he was mostly picking up kids with some first team experience I think

Division 2 of the under 23 league really is no standard at all. We need to loan them out. We should have loaned ohare and rhm a year ago

maybe we might see one or two in the FA cup game, unless there is literally no one at the club who can cope
in  Which case we might as well get rid of the lot and close the academy down like they did at Brentford

If he ever gets fit enough, I'd go for Lansbury. He's creative, a goal threat & did well there for Forrest. I guess Grealish will be back before Lansbury is.

Loaning our young players out over the last few seasons has generally been a failure. I put this down to other clubs at a lower level only wanting them as squad fillers and prefer to develop their own players first.

We need to see ourselves if they have what it takes. I think having almost a squad of experienced players has been to the detriment of our young players. If we are not going to try them soon, when are we going to be in a position to do so. If you look at the number of players out of contract at the end of this or next season, you can see where the openings are going to be.  Therefore, start blooding a few players in these positions.

Apart from Jack who was the last regular first team player who came up from the academy? I don’t count Davis btw
