This injury just goes to show that we need another player that can play the same role that Jack does. We can’t expect him to not miss any games all season, so if we have to change the way Deano wants to play due to personnel then we have to sign another player than can do the job.

All of the wingers look far less effective since Jack has been out. It's his ability to ghost past a man, and play a slide rule pass that makes most teams double up on him, leaving more space for the wide men.  Hourihane can be dangerous in his own way, but he just doesn't hurt teams in the same way when he has possession of the ball.

Hourihane is more danger to us when he has possesion anywhere back from about 25 yards from the oppositon goal.

Please.stop abbreviating. We all have sore Christmas heads and it's too hard to think. Like, who is COH?  Conor O'Hourihane?  That's just racist, man.

Oh, you meant the fella.from the airport, fair enough.

I can’t be arsed to type out all the names just as you can’t be arsed to work out who I’m talking about

We frown on the use of txt spk so in the same manner it's only polite to use recognisable names when asked.

If Eamonn asks me to not use abbreviations again I shall duly oblige.

Hope that God is a Villa fan, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Of course he is, he gave us Birmingham City to laugh at.

You need to get onboard with the Warner Edwards. Their rhubarb gin is the best thing ever.

Apropos nothing at all, but who was that girl many years ago who refused to stop using text speak, because she was like, a strong independent woman.

Was it that (very attractive) woman who was on soccer am that time?

Sawyers interest is no suprise. Especially if Jack is out for a couple of months.

If Jack is out until March or so we definitely need a change. The midfield were playing now doesn't look right on paper and looks worse on the pitch

Sawyers is a very obvious shout

I hope he changes it for QPR anyway though. We need more energy as much as we need more creativity

changing things is not something Smith has been keen to do since he’s been here
obviously he will be hampered by having so few options

but the same old stager names in the line up every week is somewhat disheartening
Before he came we were led to believe he had a reputation for taking risks and not being afraid of throwing in a youngster or two
so far we have seen the exact opposite

I’m still very happy with Smith but he needs to be braver
