Sure they said Bordeaux on Sky. Are you sure they didn't say "Kalinic is going to lose?"

I saw him and Moreira play.  Do I win?

Sorry, no prize unless you saw Ivo Stas play for us as well!
I claim that prize (nearly) as I saw Ivo on the pitch in a Villa shirt in a youth friendly at Shrewsbury Tech. Whether he played in the 20 odd minutes before he held his hamstring and walked off is a matter of conjecture.

He came, he fumbled, he left.

I wonder who bought him ?

Ivo went back to Banik Ostrava.

On-loan? Pity we couldn't sell the fecker. The only player in the squad Smith rated less than Kodjia.

He came, he fumbled, he left.

In a golden decade for terrible signings at the club, he has to be one of the more bizarre ones.  It was as if they found a file on him left in a drawer somewhere from when we tried to sign him before and got shafted by that woman from Sunderland.

By my reckoning, since we were relegated we've used 9 different goalkeepers in the first team, which is some going.

I saw Ivo play for and score for Villa in a pre season friendly at Witney Town. Possibly the first game under BFR. I think Big Ron had gained some coaching experience at Witney whilst still playing for Oxford. There were no stands so we were all stood around the touchline like a parks game. I think we won 6-0 and Ivo was credited with one of the goals, even though he actually hit the side netting and the ball went in through/under the net.

You definitely get 100 I Spy points for that. Well done.

The fact that Ivo scored a "ghost goal" in an obscure friendly game is kind of fitting. Man or myth?

Didn’t we try to sign him three years prior and he got denied a work permit at the time too? Obviously transfers sometimes end up not working for all sorts of reasons, but giving that background to signing him, his pedigree as an international goalkeeper, us paying a fee when we clearly didn’t have much money at the time and then him being outcast with a couple of months it really has been a bizarre signing.

He left because he had a technical flaw in his game.

Lovre can't turn around.

Hope it's a loan to buy.

He might not have been great for us but he came with decent pedigree and we shouldn't be in a situation where we just take any loan to get him off the wage bill. Esp with FFP considerations and all those fun things.

An odd signing - a signing agreed under Bruce maybe?
