when was the last time we signed/announced a player before the transfer window opened?
Aston Villa can confirm that Croatian international goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic has agreed to join the club. The 28-year-old will officially join Villa from Gent on 1st January when the transfer window opens, signing until 2023. A member of the Croatian squad that finished runners-up at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Kalinic has spent the majority of his career in his homeland with Hajduk Split but for the past two seasons has played in the Belgian top flight. Head Coach Dean Smith said: “We are delighted to be signing someone of Lovre’s experience and quality. "He is an outstanding goalkeeper and we are looking forward to welcoming him when he joins at the beginning of January.”

Goalkeeper sorted. I hope JT is now on the phone to Chelsea to secure Cahill's signature!
Excellent, good to see doing business early.I find the FFP stuff interesting, we must be comfortable with our position.

All you need is Lovre.
