Gone. Good luck to him but, being honest, he will be one of those you can't remember in those "Missing Men" quizzes in a few years.

My mate did a great one of those for just the last ten years, he tried to post it up here but the file format was an issue. I was the only one that managed to get them all, no googling, but my god some of the random shite that have worn the shirt in that period is unsettling when you see them grouped together like that.

He must be better than he's showed for us. I mean, Croatia are quite good, aren't they? Anyway he was generally shite for us. People moan at Steer but he was a million times better than the other dozen or so goalkeepers we tried out last decade.

To be fair, most people I know love and appreciate Jed, he was great in the run in to promotion and outstanding in the play offs.

The only time I saw Kallinic was at home to Swansea in the cup that season, and he was terrible, went he tried to get down to a low pea roller it reminded me of when they blew the flats up in Castle Vale.

Steer is a decent top half of the championship keeper but he's a long way short of competing with Martinez so if he wants to play he needs to leave.

I found myself thinking of Bret Holman the other day.

What is amazing is how quickly we forget some of these utter fucking no-hopers. There were loads of them.

Who remembers Kevin Toner? Now playing in the Spanish 4th division.

Simon Dawkins, the spannish full back that wasn't Tony Moon, the Portuguese keeper that was worse than Kallinic, semi-retired Grant Holt and many, many more.

Moreira, the Portuguese keeper, isn't actually in that Sporcle quiz (I managed to remember him!) probably because he didn't play a league game. I could remember the Spanish full back who played once against Stoke as Jose Angel but not his surname - Crespo.

Tom Carroll is one of my favourites, one of the most bizarre signings I can remember.
