The first time I went to Stoke's old Victoria Ground was October 1987. I understand we drew 0-0 but it might have been 5-5 for all I knew. I recall we were housed in what was basically a trench along one side of the pitch, some of which appeared to be below pitch level. It was absolutely the worst view I have ever had at a match.

I was at that - being packed like sardines would have been more spacious.  We took about 6000 to that match.

Stoke at home is safe enough. However, Stoke away can be dangerous if you have Legion in your car  ;)

I stood alongside Damo. I said stood but the crowd seemed to be in a state of perpetual motion, and the sun was shining directly in our eyes.
